ballancing rotors ???

ballancing rotors ???

ok, i have thought for a long time about this but still can't figure it out.
how does the engine remain ballanced when oil is being squirted into the rotors to cool them?
i guess if there were passages between the casting "vanes" inside the rotor, the oil will disperse equally around the inside of the rotor, but do these passages exist?
if there are no passages, how in the world do the rotors stay ballanced when oil is not perfectly distributed throught the inside of the rotor?

I dont think they do,...the oil also throws off the balance between the rotors and the cw's i think..

i agree, i just don't know how the distribution of oil in the rotor can be perfect, but your point of simply the oil adding mass to the rotor(effectively) will cause the counterweights to not really matter if they are equal in mass to the rotor!

apperantly there was an article released by mazda a while back that delt with this issue, but noone can find it.
i really would like to know how this works, so if anyone has it please post up or pm me!
also, on the rx8 the engineers did consider the mass of the oil in the rotor, so it does have some appriciable affect on the ballance of the motor... still looking...
