Aussie rotor runs a 6.99@201mph

13.06.04
Winternationals Live Update
Archie Kajewski and Mazfix team have just smashed the quickest rotary time in Australia and run the first 6 second pass with a 6.99 at 201.52mph in their 20B triple turbo Chev Beretta. This is also the fastest recorded speed world wide.
*taken from www.fullboost.com.au

but personely i cant wait until the pac performance MX6 gets sorted

plus dont forget we also have joe from rotormaster running abels old chassis

looks like it wont be long until the aussie's catch and pass the rest of the world

well what an history making day for the rotary scene world wide as they have done the 1st 200mph pass in the world by any rotary powered vehicle and the 1st oz 6 second pass also on same pass.....car kept going faster and faster all weekend with an 7.30@188mph, then 7.29@192mph, then 7.22@196mph....then the big one of 6.99@201mph....the car was very lose on run also and running lower bost than normal to get it down track....willl go quicker again soon...this is very big day for the whole rotary scene world wide and teh boost clothing sponsors are making 200mph club shirts asap....the car is very reliable unlike other rotary competitors going for handgrenade passes etc with the engine being in the car untouched for over 10 months now and raced at 8 meets in a row with big hp and running 9x 190+ passes also....which is very impressive indeed....check out www.mazfix.com.au for more info and engine packages as peolpe are already ordering them now in oz to be quick and reliable....maybe some will end up overseas also...... will keep you guys posted...cheers craig

See thats what the f*ck I'm talking about And people think that the rotary is unreliable under high hp/stress situations.

yer its an fully tubed race car..is an old don ness chassis from early 90,s and was australias fastest pro stock car at the time he purchased it turn key 400 cubic inch and all spares....just pulled the v8 out and dropped the 20b tripple turboed engine in....not as easy as that but you get the idea....mazfix is well known to have the most hp and be the most reliable in oz.....this just proves to the rest of the world....cheers...video should be up on ausrotary tonight to check out pass...

huh? im not making excuses for pac not getting there first, good on archie for doing it, all im saying is personely i like the MX6 better thats all, so i hope they sort the chassis out soon, sure archie hasnt had his car long but remember the chassis was already sorted, even though it had a V8 in it, but im sure it would of been easier to sort than the MX6.
I just hope the MX6 ends up being quicker thats all, everyones entitled to there opinions, plus the chevy looks like **** lol

well i was pit crewing for him in the tow car ....and the weight was checked as well as all the fuel tested and was all legit with the car with driver weighing in well over 2250 pounds...which is the legal limit over here in oz with 20b .uses straight vp methanol race fuel with no additives and no nitrous..2250 pounds is the usa weights also for memory....cheers

no he doent use nitrous at all.....has a 20b tripple turboed extend port setup....with andra also it is a easy way to tell if they ahve nitrous......you have to run a n2o sticker on car near front window incase of a crash and catches on fire.....cheers
