Apex Seal Groove -- can you sand it down for proper clearence?

Just wondering, there are some high spots where the 2mm seals are to let the seal move. The apex seal groove clearance spec is .0024-.0040".

After clearancing the side seals, I checked the gap in the apex seal grooves and found that 2 out of the 3 apex seal gaps on the rotor are too tight. All the apex seal gaps on the rear rotor are fine. By fine, I mean that a .002" feeler gauge can freely move with the apex seal in the groove.

So could I just sand these high spots down very carefully? What does anyone reccommend?

This is stock 90 N/A rotor, using stock seals.
