just want to get your opinion on alcohol injection vs E85 ethanol


from what ive seen on E85 ethanol there are some good and bad sides to it

Good! Cooling properties,
octane rating
proven to add horsepower and horsepower curve
Able to run higher boost and get it from the pump
As expensive as getting gas from the pump station


BAD! Need to run 30% more fuel which means bigger injectors = gas mileage
Locations to find e85 ethanol
Bigger fuel pumps or more fuel pumps
when you run out of fuel and can only use pump gas the car will run very very rich



And then theres alcohol injection


Good! Cheaper to setup than ethanol (just have to get the methanol/WI and the kit vs the fuel injectors and the fuel pump)

More boost (600hp proven)
Doesnt drain as quickly as ethanol (one 2 gal tank last as much as a tank of gas)



BAD! when you run out how will you know if you dont have a fail system
what if the nozzles burn from inside the car and your running without the system










So i just want to get you guys though on those 2 cause it seems that people are looking for alternatives besides racegas as its $60 for 5 gal of c116

 

methanol still burns much quicker than gasoline, and requires a much richer mixture.

 

Both......but add water to the mix.
