Advantages
-Water is a more efficient means or extracting heat and will cool better than air to air
-Much smaller unit than an air to air

Disadvantages
-You will need to put a large water tank some where
-You will need to install a heat exchanger for the water tank is you are going to do anything other than drag race

Drag racers use them because they are small and you can fill the tank with ice cold water. If you are going to drive the car for any period of time you need a way to remove the heat from the water, i.e. a heat exchanger (radiator). I saw an issue of turbo mag where they hook up some type of refrigeration device to cool the water.
