I have the ACT, and I am about to buy the Spec 6puck. The Spec disk is sprung as opposed to the unsprung ACT disk.

I just installed a spec six puck kevlar disc with the matching billet flywheel. Excellent product. I would recommend it.

I have a spec 6 puck sprung in my turbo fb and love it. Engages fairly smooth and hasn't slipped yet in a little over 5k miles.

is there a certain power range you would want to use a spec clutch for?

I'll chime in with a similar question, I am not familiar w/Spec. My application is Road Race TII with an output of 350-400ft lbs. I cannot understand why the ACT HD can hold 800ftlbs on a Supra, but the Extreme with greater clamping force struggles with 350-450ftlbs on a Seven... Perhaps we are using the "wrong disc" HP Freaks has a disc which I am running in my Supra, I've seen it hold 800ft lbs for 40-50 10 sec 1/4s with 1.3-4 60 fts. Why do we have such clutch issues with such a modest amount of torque? Someone once told me it had to do with how, and where we make our power, but that does not make sense to me.

Sorry to hijack, but does any one have problems w/their hydrolics blowing out from the high line presure created by a strong presure plate?

Being a SPEC distributor, I have sold dozens of these to forced induction S2000s, everyone who has gotten one loved it. The price point/performance is hard to beat
