As some of you may know, I work at Road Atlanta. The number 18 Mazda 787B spent the day testing at Road Atlanta last week. I MISSED IT!!! I got to see a pic and that was it!

My boss told me bout it today. He has no idea or appreciation for the piece of autoracing history that he witnessed.

If Jim is watching these posts, I am sorry I missed you.

 

I saw a video of it testing on the track yesterday, Sounded amazing!!

Well, I stand corrected. But it has the trick intake upgrade from the "B". Too bad the Ford guys lost all of the original documentation when they bought controlling interest in Mazda.

Where were you, Holly? Were you with Downing or Skippy?

I got to be right there with Mr. Downing and Mr. Engman. I took the morning off work and hung around, trying to be helpful, but staying out of the way. I have the video on my phone that Alex saw. Paul Thomas posted a video of it on FB after it was back at the shop, just before it went back to California.
