500RWHP 12a with Dyno Sheets and Video

Just pulled it off the Dyno, and im VERY pleased. Its a 12a mild street port, 72mm ITS Dual BB Q-trim .81, Haltech F9, 96lb, l/a i/c, b9es plugs, 24lbs of boost. (I maxed out my injectors) otherwise I'd have run 30psi (limited only by my f9) Motor was built to handle 40psi. Tranny is a Jerico clutch type (for the street). Car weighs 2160 w/o me. Tuned it to 11.8 throughout the complete RPM range under load. Im interested to hear what everybody thinks!

Pics can be seen at

That is impressive. 516 rwhp on a streetported 12A @ 25 psi.
Back off 6psi just so you can have a 510 rwhp 510

What type of fuel are you using?

Fuel

ahh! I knew I forgot somthing!! I usually use c-16, but the shop was out so I ran FNL 18....I believe....I'm told it has the same specific gravity and very similar characteristics to C-16 so I went with it.

Why does the dyno sheet look like it goes to 680rwhp? Somebody can't spell Haltech either.

I can spell...I just can't type (since when is this place 2nd grade spelling class anyways?)
Also as far as reading the graphs.....there is a color key on either sied indicating wether you are looking at Torque ot HP.

Very nice indeed, especially when very few people are willing to work with a 12A. Big numbers congrats.

Very Impressive!
There's a couple of 500hp 12A's here in Florida too.
My buddie's 84 ran 10.04@136mph. It weighs 2500lbs with him in it.
BTW. Do you have the SAE corrected dyno runs?

Details About My Dyno Sheet

BTW the "21 lb" pull made 390 HP that pull was from my last motor, I graphed it for comparative purposes because I changed my exhaust port a bit. Wanted to see how the power band changed.

Congrats on those numbers

Just wondering....why the torque #'s(326rwt) on the low side compared to a 13T making ~500rwh???
Is it because of the smaller displacement 12A?

For ex: I made 402rwh and 356rwt in my 13B-REW

It's nice to see those rare 12A's crunching those kind of numbers

A 12A has rotor housings that are 10mm thinner than a 13B so the rotors are thinner so less surface area= less torque.

Hey I have a TII right now
and my friend has a GSL-SE with no engine he would sell
me and in my storage I have a 93 motor and a 88 TII motor

I would like to put the TII motor

I would need a SE front cover-oil pan
besides fuel mods
I have TII harness and ECU

would I need to use the driver side harness of a 2nd gen?
or could I run a Dist and have the stock ECU handle the fuel?

I have yet to this day figured out why the people down south likes stickers that much! We need a multimillion dollar government study to figure this out....I'm serious.
