Arrow 40 DCOE Webber Fitment

Hi.

I drive a 82` Rx7 ,12A 70deg streetport.Rb type headers(copied)no cat, and Nikki carb.Does a 15.7 on 1/4 mile(dont laugh, it`s 2000 feet above sea level)

Planing to fit a 40DCOE Webber ;will one be enough?
Driveability is not a concern, seeing that its not a daily driver.

I`am from South Africa.

I would go with a bigger carb than the 40DCOE. I'm using a modified 48 DCOE on a stock port 13B. Have you considered a modified Nikki carb? Try this site to see if a modified Nikki would work for you.

Two would probably be good but you have to remember that its the amount of air that you get into the engine that will help you make more power. All that extra fuel from big jets is useless without adequate air. Tuning the two carbs is also a big deciding factor on the power. If they aren't sync'd properly they will never run 100%. For the price of two carbs you could probably get a stand alone EMS and some aftermarket intake and run some type of throttle body. Anytime you go custom intake its going to cost lots more than buying proven/production pieces.

I understand what your saying, the thing is that in South Afirca, the EMS is very expensive. If i convert the price to $, it will come to $1500, and if you take into account i only earn $400 per month. The 48IDA costs $500 secondhand.
I can get a set of 40`s for $60, and the manifold will come to $20(which i make myself)

Thanks for your time, it`s greatly appreciated!!

I understand completely. I'm married and have one child so my budget is pretty well non exsistent. If you can build the intake then that would be great and save lots of money. Good luck with it.
