Does anyone have any info on what would be involved in balancing a 4 rotor engine with a 90 degree offset main shaft? When they balance a rotary do they just balance the shaft or does it use the rotors too? I need to know because I am about to couple the shafts for my 4 rotor engine and I need to know what to do about the counter balance weights.

Can anyone give more specifics about balancing a rotary? Is it similar to a piston engine as far as weight throws. Best I've been able to tell it is close to a 2 cylinder 180 degree motorcycle engine, and uses the counter weights to counter act the rocking motion. That would be present ie. the front of a rear drive car would want to bounce up and down without the counter weights. Where as my dad had a bike with out them and it rocked side to side with each throw.
