13bt build many questions!
hey i got a 1991 rx7 na and loved the car but sold it cuz i want to do a TII project this summer !!!
im looking to buy a TII shell with a blown motor take the motor out and port it and rebuild myself. (i've rebuilt 2 v8's before so im not totally in the dark) but my main question is what would u advise i do for what im looking to do.
$1,500-2000 on parts for rebuild & port(done by me)
i want to get 300-400whp not on standalone perhaps with a rtek?
i know ill need to upgrade alot of other stuff but im not too worried about that yet... just rebuilding the motor.
what port would u advise i want to use it on the streets as a second car to dick around but eventually a track car for competitive road course driving.
what rebuild kit ect?
special little tricks like 13bre rotors ect?
im not an rx7 master and know this i wanna hear from u expereinced guys :-p.
thanks a million!

Sreetporting the engine would be sufficient and it can support high HP numbers. You will have to do supporting mods as well such as fuel, airflow, and exhaust flow. You might want to look into upgrading to a TII braking system or upgrade your N/A stock rotors and pads to accomodate the added power.

- streetport
(as long as your engine is '89+ you already have -RE rotors - not an issue)
polish rotor faces and recesses
- rebuild (with attention to oil flow)
- choose the right turbo (only you can decide the charateristics you desire)
- fuel to support it
of course, cleaned and healthy cooling systems for both oil and antifreeze after everything is up and running should go without saying.
