nice pics... that looks great; really helps to clarify some things in my head. i think that is exactly what i want to do.
do i have any other option other than getting a used jdm engine?
say i get a jdm engine, then unfortunately it detonates... is there anywhere to get just a RE housing?
this is where i am still a little lost
great info in here guys!

Re and Rew housings are interchangeable.
U can use rew rotors together with rew front counterweight. AT rear counterweight is common. U can use aftermarket flywheel with AT C/W.
U must use custom engine mount to put RE engine into RX7.

so with the NA i guess you would suggest going with the cosmo right? I am going to stay with 2 rotors def. But i am still a little unclear whether or not i can build the engine or have to buy it used and go single.
Anyone have any insight on the cosmo wirring.. i think i want to go with a haltech or aem to for EM. can i use the same wirring harness out of a fc turbo?

The third way is a big single turbo and one solenoid

Wolf is good option
The Wolf works with the stock FD engine harness and operates the OMP - great choice for this setup. I add 1 to 2 oz of premix just to be safe. Planning on adding water injection as a cleaner for the dirty OMP oil. Carbon is a killer.
