13B 6 port SP 48 ida tuning

Hey guys. I have been trying to tune this thing for a few months. It runs fine on the top end but if you are cruising and get in the gas the AFR goes full lean for a few seconds then comes back up. Also has the common hiccup when stabbing the throttle below 3k.
I am at sea level and the car has 13B 6 port SP with a 2.5 inch exhaust to a RB straight pass muffler.
I know I need the 3rd progression port but I would rather not drill on the carb like that. Also have the problem of sitting and waiting in line at AutoX then starting my run that making abrupt turns causes the carb to flood and die. I believe this is due to the float set to high (even though i set it with the float kit) and the cover gasket going bad (random fuel stains running down side of carb from it). I also seem to have a heat soak issue where the carb gets hot to the touch. I am not sure if that makes a difference really. I can build a plate pretty easily for a shield if need be.

Any input would be great. Remember this is a track/autox car.

Hey, I also have a very similar setup. I got a 6 port with Pineapple Racing SP, 48 IDA, Racing Beat exhaust, and live at about sea level. I just put this car together about a month ago so I haven't had much time to get the carb perfect. But what I am using is AC jet:140 Emulsion tube:F11 Main jet:190 Idle Jet holder:120 Idle jet:70F10 Auxiliary Venturi: Not sure, It's whatever a new one comes with Venturi:40 Pump jets:50 or 40, I cant remember

I have the same problems that you have other than it stumbling in turns. Maybe the stumble in turns is caused by too high of fuel pressure. I have some 55 pump jets that I hope will help with it stumbling when stabbing the throttle. I'll let you know if it helps. Sorry if I'm not too much help, I need help too.

Ah all good bud. I know the fuel pressure isn't to high since I run 3.9. Everyone says to run 5 but I haven't been due to the flooding the car sitting and idling which is where my fuel slosh comes from autocrossing...

I just put some 60 idle jet holders in and it completely got rid of the 3000 rpm bog that it had. I can even go full throttle now at those low RPMs with a good air to fuel ratio. It also made throttle response better but its not perfect.

did you mean 160 idle jet holders?

edit: nevermind I was thinking air correctors. I got 160's and F11 emulision tubes that I am going to try and lower my idle jets back down to 75 and see if that fixes everything.
