12A rotary death? can I rebuild it?
My 85 RX7 12a just went capoot driving and an apex seal blew and shredded one of the rotors/housing looks like wolverine went crazy in there.
I want to know if this MIGHT be saveable? it looks like only one of the cuts actually went through that coating and cut into the aluminum of the housing the others are all just surface scratches and I think it can be resurfaced but I want you gurus to confirm/blow me down here
I have not yet cleaned it up I have removed all the pieces that were lodged into the rotor and housing
any information MUCH appreciated especially on the side of is this rotor/housing reusable? I have been searching for a replacement motor... and I have to say GL to that

:/
I did figure but I thought I would ask I seem to be having trouble finding replacement rotors. especially since I want to replace both at once.
I found Atkins has retooled rotor housings but for the price of a pair of those and the gaskets alone I could have Atkins send me a complete rebuild.
I have been entertaining the idea for a while to put a motorcycle engine in a car. Any thoughts on this?
And it would seem the rest of the block is now for sale if anyone needs the side housings and whatnot.

keep looking I've been collected parts for my build for about 2 months now. search on the forums . and search local rotary shops in your nearby vicinity I know of older people that work on rotaries , but plainly dont know how to use the internet, and they have a shop filled with rotors and housings of all kinds .
