12a PP with Weber 48 ida

My 12a pp will soon be ready. The aluminum tubes that will be pressed in the housings have a 44.5mm inner diameter. I have a Weber 48 ida that I recently picked up. Can anyone with some experience offer some advice on carb settings (venturis, jets, ect.)? This will be my first pp motor and first time attempting to tune a 48 ida.

I would recomend using a 51 mm IDA w/ 42-43mm chokes, F-7 emulsion tube 240 main jet 160-170 air jet long air horns 100-120mm 0.9mm sqiurters and 300 needle valve. Good luck with your engineproject!

Dude,
If you can get your hands on a Racing Beat Technical Manual, you'll get all the info you're looking for.

Hi
Here is what Racingbeat recommends :

Peripheral Port Engine
(Equipped with open headers)
12A Engine
Venturi - 43mm
Fuel Jet - No. 230
Air Jet - No. 125
Emulsion tube - F-8
Needle Valve - No. 300

Hope this helps?
