Brake Pad Options

As part of our commitment to FD braking performance we have just updated our brake pad line up:
http://www.racingbrake.com/main/rb_pads.asp

Please go over selection guide and pay attention to our note under the setup matrix.

We intend to make this selection guide as easy as possible so that you can make a proper choice for your driving / racing need.

However, to "select" and "use" the proper pads take some time and experience to mature especially for the entry and intermediate racing levels. Here is what an experienced Corvette racer has to say:

I also beleive that many intermediates and novices often "over brake" and tend to use their brakes incorrectly and that will cause ANY pad to fail, and with the speed the Z06 is capable, that further amplifies the situation. I also agree with your new rating scheme for your different pads.
The compound availability will be updated.

also, are you guys planning on making a bracket replacement for the stock front and rear calipers? ive been looking at a 99spec caliper/rotor upgrade, but as far as i can tell the only difference is the longer bracket that the caliper is situated in. that would be an economical way to increase breaking potential but drastically reduce costs by keeping our current calipers.

Will the 700-900 series pads be made for the stock front calipers? I am running the '99 setup all around and if these pads are that good, I may have to give them a try.

My ET500s dust quite a bit. Is that normal? I mean they dust so bad, it reminds me of those BMWs that never freaking clean their wheels, and their wheels look like a dirty gunmetal, but they're originally silver. That is what my wheels look like.
