Wow... R32....

yeah the VW R32 is a pretty sweet ride... ive always liked the golf body, and though it pains me to give props to the germans... i gotta do it, the R32 is a sweet machine.... i pulled by one in 4th at about 100 and thought i had him, so i shifted to 5th and let of doin about 110 or so, and then he just flew, i mean flew by me, i hit it in 5th and he just kept pulling, now granted, i know he was hitting it WAY harder than me, but even if i had been doing my hardest he woulda had me good i think, we got off the highway and he turned onto a side street and wouldnt go with me from a light..... so we will never know what it woulda been.... i dont think he was turbo, although that would explain it, he is 241hp stock though and its a 14.5 1/4 mile.... and im probably just under 15sec, and ive also only got about... umm, 2500 max in my car and he has over 30 Gs.... so i dont feel too bad.... anyhows....

props to the germans...

peace

R32 + HPA ( i thnk ) Turbo Kit = Fastest 0-30 time at 1.1 seconds. Course the kit is 32g's but makes over 550HP with the AWD system. Sick stuff that R32.

Neighbor took me for a wild ride on a curvey bayou-side road. He scared the hell outta me. The car is fast and sticks. Unbelievable handling.

the engine is a 3.2L version of the VR6. 6-speed and the good old 4motion. now, what sucks is, in europe that is basiclally optional on most cars....

I saw two different r32's @ the track with really simple bolt-ons, intake, exhaust, suspension. Both running high 13's so the 14.5 stock is more of a guide line then a hard fact. I can't remember but I read one magazine that ran a stock one @ 14.1.
Any way for the VW love

It's not a flavor of Vr6 it's just a 32v V6. I have the 30v 2.8l in my audi it has a wider V. Vr6's simply put... suck compared to the newer 30/32v v6's VW/Audi are coming out with. The Vr is a 12v "v" and I quote V because it's only 15 Degree's, it's damn near an inline six.

VW has a habit of under-advertising their cars. If they say 14.5 stock, it was probably their slowest test car.

Electrical problems asside, VW makes som badass cars right now. I'd love an R32 but for that price I could get an '8. .

Most mags had the R32 between 13.9 and 14.2

The guys on VWVortex with intake, exhaust, and chip are getting mid to low 13's.

a german guy called felix wankel invented the rotary. It pains you to give props to the germans? They have the ring, too. So we must be thankful for the germans.

Yeah but you could potentially have a 20b 8, you can't have a 20b r32

You could potentially have a "Dahlbach" R32 that you could never have in an 8. AWD rocks. Our A6 2.7T QUATTRO handles better in the wet than 2WDs or peglegs handle in the dry. And, the A6 is a two-ton pig. It's hilarious fun to mash the throttle from the light on a wet street; it digs and goes!

I ran into one of these so called R32 or at least thats what i think it was...they move, it was keeping up with me in traffic so it seemed pretty even.
My car wasnt tuned and I had issues so now on an open road it might be a different story. I'm dying to run into this kid again!!!

the germans make some good **** and they do have the Ring and that track is awesome

and jsut think if it hadnt been for a german that you ' have to give props to this time ' you wouldnt be driving your car
you would prolly be driving a slow *** piston powered honda like the rest of the country and ricing it out
