Why are most SRT-4 owners jerks?
Last Sunday, me and my buddies hit up the local meeting spot where races are sometimes arranged. 
A 350Z spider was supposed to show and race my FD for money. But he never came. Instead, I got an offer against a SRT-4. My FD is no slouch...half-bridge, T66, Haltech, VMIC, yadda yadda...so I was shocked when he wanted to race me for $60. I bugged him, "are you sure", and him and his little cocky buddies laughed and agreed.
So we go out to our nice long desolate road...one of many out here in the desert. I go line up after he picked his lane, and watch him do several burnouts to get his BF Goodrich drag radials nice and hot. I've got almost 2 year old 255 series KDWs and a dying clutch, so I just sat there waiting for him to finish. His friend - the dude who instigated the race - asked me why I wanted a passenger (one of my friends was riding along). I think they really thought they would get me. Anyways, we launch, and I just slip the clutch cause its really a lost cause trying to get any decent acceleration in 1st with my tires. I hit second, and got sideways, still completely outrunning the SRT-4. By the end, I had him by 5 cars - definately a fast SRT, I'll give it that. I'm sure I would have had more but not having traction in 1st, 2nd, and part of 3rd kinda slows you down.
They paid up, and my buddy made $60...it was his money on the line. They ask me for another race, just for fun, and I agree. This time we switch lanes and go again. I rev a little too high, sit there and burn out, and completely smoke my clutch. They jump on me by who knows how many cars and I reel them in towards the end but still lose. I think my ACT street disk has finally had enough. We get back, and they're all happy, asking me to race them again and give them a chance to win their money back. I tell them my clutch is almost done and I'm not beating up my car for one more race. Their response? My car is "overrated", "slow", I'm a "coward", and their "little snail kicked my car's snail". Nevermind the fact that during the first race, I completely blow their doors off while running sideways. I think they're just butthurt cause their Neon got its *** handed to it.
I told them they could have a rematch after the clutch gets replaced with an Exedy twin plate, and I get some track tires. Then I'll bump up the boost from 18 psi (where it is now) to 25 and go at it again. Maybe they'll learn their lesson after a 10 car length loss...
But anyways, why are SRT-4 owners little sniffly bitches? I don't get it. Calling my car "overrated"...when they drive a turbo'd rental car. LOL

lol good kill man... great story....overrated?? those srt4's are everywhere just like the evo's and wrx's... dont even worry about them srt-4's though man, just for some reason they all or at least most have big *** ego's... they think they can beat anybody, always showing off their brand new BOV's... when you get your car fixed and ready, double the money and see their reaction... if they refuse the offer, just say the same **** back.... i hate those things... i mean cmon, its a Neon...

Theyre just pissed cuz Dodge labeled it a SRT-4. BUT it still looks the same as the ultra-shitty Neon. Dont call it a NEON!!! HAHAHAHA Awesome kill, some are fast, and some are loud, but theyre still a NEON!!

Yeah SRT-4's drivers are usually jerks. IMO it's due to their age and maturity level combined with an inexpensive car that is rather fast right out of the box but also responds extremely well to mods. Yeah their attitudes makes them my favorite target.

Don't get me wrong, I've read about some wicked-fast, mad-built SRT-4s that flat kick ***. But the whole point is.....
IT'S A NEON! I mean, there used to be a guy in Wichita that had a POS '76 Pinto with a alcohol burning blown 426 that cruised Douglas street looking for victims. Dude actually drove from the rear seat. That....car....was unbeatable. But what was the point?

my screen name says it all. when they called your car overrated i hope you didn't hesitate to rub it in their face that they were driving a glorified NEON!!! the ultimate chick car. although there is a guy around these parts pushing close to 600 whp in his SRT-4, it's still funny to watch him try to put all that power and torque to the pavement in a FWD.

Usually the people that buy theese inexpensive sportscompacts, (wrx, srt4, some vq35,honda,dsm) are immature and idiots overall. Most of them did not pay for the cars they drive and if they do, it's financed so it took little or nothing to attain theese cars.
Therfore they have no respect or "fear" towards cars and speed and drive/act however they please.

The guys that ive talked to that drive SRT4's were all asses as well...Thought their car was hot stuff.
The only one that ive raced, blew up (engine failure, oil sprayed out the front bumper/hood) so I have no respect for them, since the owners are retarded (and no matter what, they can beat my car, theyve "got a turbo") and the only one that actually stepped up and raced me blew his motor. Granted it was at 140 when it blew up, but it shouldnt have broke, just on a straight freeway run.

Srt-4's is Dodge's answer to can't beat em' so join em' idea. Mopar had to switch to the import grown fwd turbo to market their car rather v8/v10 rwd domestic muscle, and its still a Neon. Not a slow car, but also not a ferrari when it comes to turns, and twists. Give the car's engine a little credit, but its just up to the owners to hold on to it.

On the contrary to you guys here the guys I have met are always nice guys and usually pretty fast. One time comming down a normal road one came up beside me looked at my rims Fikse FM-10s at the time and said "TABARNAK" that is the french equivalent of a prolonged "F***".
The thing that pisses me off about them is they all have that HKS type whistle BOV's and they beleive cutoff is a must when driving.
The type of people you are describing are the Mazdaspeed Protege owners and Mazdaspeed 6 owners. They seem to think "hey my car is newer so it owns yours".
