Two Kills for the 1988 SE.
I can't beleive I'm posting this kill, but I am.
Kill #1
Grand AM GT vs 1988 SE
Today I was driving to cash my check and I noticed this loud red old style Grand Am speeding along my road. I'm driving my usual speed (around 65 in the 55) and catch up slowly. We both come to a stop sign merging into a 4 lane. He takes off, tires squak and everything. I pull out gently and then floor it to catch up. By the time I get into third I see the GT's BIG dual exhaust, like 5 ******* inches or something (mine are 4" but hey, I got em with the car). He looks at me and then looks down and his car jumps ahead. I on the other hand am already going 70-80ish in 3rd gear and floor it, pulling hard on him and passing him at the end of third and then I pull a few car lengths ahead of him while in fourth. I let off the throttle when I know I got him and I hear his car scream on by me, he revs, and takes off.
I keep driving until I get to the store and he follows me in (cut across two lanes to talk to me, aren't I special). He asks me what I got. I told him my mods (read end of post) and he shows me his. Which were two APC mufflers and an cone filter. He told me something about something else but I was too into going to try and see if a certain girl was working. I told him I'de talk to him later, he said something along the lines of "I'll race you again sometime." Which is way to gay for me. So most likely Ill avoid him.

Ford Escort ZX2 vs 1988 SE
Me and my homie were cruising the local spot together before we decided to stop in Pamida. I got out so I could smoke (I don't smoke in my car). And then we see a kid from our old high school in his Escort ZX2 with "airbox" mod, eBay muffler (like me!), and a decent looking kit. What stood out however was the poorly bumping system and the cookie cut-out rear lights. Anyhow my friend says we should chase him down. And we do.
My friend (240SX with intake) takes off first and catches up in seconds. I hear the Escorts ZX2's exhaust whine with all of its girly fury while my friend walks him while he is standing still. I catch up and look at the ZX2's driver. He looks at me and does a 'raise the roof' type thing with his free hand and says "What up!".
I shake my head as he then gives his car nuts. I shift from 3rd to 2nd (now to about 40 mph) and fly past him in seconds. I pull up 5-6 car lengths before shutting down. He drives up to me and says "Dayam!" then some other crap and drives off.
My mods:
1988 SE, drop in K&N air filter, Bonez Superflo cat and pipe, 2 3/8' custom exhaust into two eBay mufflers.
