correct me if im wrong but i think that the stock fuel pump, and stock injectors will be good up to 250bhp, and i dont think im in those numbers with a safc, ported wastegate and running 11 psi.

Mira lambon. Im half puerto rican & dominican. dont think Im one of these gringos that comes on here talking **** without knowing anything. I go to PR & DR for 2 weeks every summer & once during Christmas.

Thats what I meant when I said you have to be a somebody. You have to have to some $$ to get on a dyno. The shop I went to had a waiting list 3 pages long of people that wanted to get tuned. Thats where I came to the conclusion of "Damn this must be the only dyno on this Island" cause everyone was beasting to get on the dyno, & even when I was offering ppl extra money, no one wanted to let me cut in to get on the dyno. We had to street tune my cousins Suzuki Swift with a haltech w/ some dude named Junito from the shop we went to on Rt 53 from Fajardo to Humacao 3 times in one day trying to get it running right.

11psi on the stock fuel system. Maybe you're car hasn't blown up YET, but it WILL SOON. There's no way around it. Don't come back with a reply about why we can't call bullshit on you, because when it comes to you running you're car like a moron we CAN.

Lol..external wastegate on the stock turbo...x-D
Dude, its 14 or 15 psi because of the center section being weak on a Hitach T-18. 16 PSI is too much. 14 is the limit in post opinions.

My stock turbo doing ~16 PSI. I am not driving it like this! lol I think my wastegate is stuck. Running a stock turbo this high is not smart.

greetings one and all....

listen why jump all over the guy who started the post...i've owned several rx's, one tII stock, the others ported motors from Maryland, one from St.Croix (USVI) built by a puerto rican who lived in cruz at the time and two from PR.....what i can say about "backyard mechanics" not all just the ones from home....they are kick azz...the fastest motor and set ups i got was from home PR and St.Croix. don't get me wrong some people do stupid things like run an untuned car...or a motor that is not broken in..leaning out running cars clearly superior to your own car eg. 1st gen against a beefed up mustang....we all are also guilty of speaking about other cars we know but only know what the owners tell us. for example my forth rx was "stock except the carb"..is what told people, they often laughed at my break riddened lawnmower sound "rrrrrp---rrrrrp---rrrrrp"....most of the time it wasn't until $500-1200 later, they were like WTF...and the concept of "PR.street port w/holley"(which they didn't understand to much)kicked them in the pants. these cars i raced were not stock in any form mostly stangs, camaros and a few hondas(this was in 94) just 3yrs after i saw a 1gen in st.croix hand a brand new corvette, with some work not a ton, a new azz....that day i said i will have that speed....saved and got the sameguy to build me a motor and send it to me, after i wasted 3grand having a motor built in MD.

this is not an attack but a fact....respect.

The rotary community can never disrespect PR & what they've done with rotories. Beliece me, Ive seen some crazy ****. ****, theres over 100 9sec cars on the island. Backyard mechanics know how to make something out of nothing.

I ran my car like he did, yet im lucky my motor is in one piece, their where many times when i heard knock from the motor, even just goin up a hill, so be carefull. Keep it under 0psi as much as possible... listen to these guys they know their ****.

you mentioned that the guy running 19psi had a microtec?? If so, he will be fine, its a standalone/tuned.

Good luck Gil
