Tacoma at the strip, no video
This may have little value for interest, but last Friday I took my Toyota Tacoma to the drag strip. It was a bit warm around 90F with the barometer in the 29.00 range, dry air.
Anyway I ran twice. The first run was against some dude with Roush all over his 2000 ish Mustang. I'm not sure what he had going on, but it was funny as @%^ when I caught him sleeping at the tree and put a car/truck on him at the start. The Roush Mustang proceeded to try catch up and lit up the tires off the line hard. I was able to see him in my rear view mirror floating all over the track. He passed me about the 1/8 mile mark and ran a 15.xx. I did a 17.8 LOL
My next run was against a 1991 Honda CRX. I ran a 17.6x to his 18.xx. That was close till the Honda missed a shift at about the 1000 ft mark.
A few guys I know were there too. One ran his 1400 HP blown 57 Chevy, but had a technical issue. Another was there with a 996tt Evolution Motorsports GT700, and another with his Mercedes with V12 twin turbo and RENNtech package, and another with the twin turbo C5 vette with nitrous oxide. The conditions were brutal with density altitude of about 4500 ft. Times were about a second high over what we run in the winter. The C5 twin turbo was the fastest with an 11.2 @ 134 mph. Sea Level corrected time there would have been 10.5 ish and 140 ish..... not bad.

I own a Tacoma and have never really thought about taking it to the track. What kind of mods do you have on your Taco. Mine is a V6 4x4 with 31" tires and the deckplate mod ( which means i cut a big hole in my factory airbox).
I love my yota.
