Singled FD vs Camero SS w/100 shot

Folllowed a mean sounding camero SS with a nitrous license plate frame onto the highway tonight. Shadowed him for a few exits and lined up on a quiet part of the road. I downshifted to 3rd and inched up on his left. He downshifted and we both decel'd. He looked over at me and I nodded for him to go. He went first and jumped at least a car ahead. We were even when I shifted to 4th and I was 1.5 cars ahead when we stopped.

We gave each other a thumbs up and it turns out he was getting off on my exit so we pulled over and talked. His car was BPU with a 100 shot of nitrous (which he used on the pull). He said he knew he was going to loose when he saw my front mount IC. I told him I had no clue what would happen but enjoyed the pull. He had dyno'd 417 rwhp recently with 100 shot.

Not a great story but it has been a while since I had lined up with anyone...

That's what we like to hear Shawn. My car should be back home in a week or two and if you're around Greenville on a Sunday night, we can go out looking for some races. There are plenty of them there. Lots of domestics with spray and basic bolt-ons.

Ya no joke. They've got some type of power programmer that will give them some decent power and cams always help.

I just decided to take a look at the kills section and lookie at what thread I found staring me down on the top.

I read the story, so now I feel the need to play devil's advocate...
I don't know anyone who drives around with the nitrous open and ready to go on the highway. "100 shot of nitrous (which he used on the pull)"

It was dark yet he saw the FMIC "He said he knew he was going to loose when he saw my front mount IC."

yeah it adds up, nice kill!

I used to run a health shot of NOS many years back in my first gen which had a streetported 13b. The nitrous was ready to go in seconds.

Ah, many a car watched the rear end of that little rocket...

I kicked it up to 16psi for the run. I still feel like I have some more power to get but I just cant find the time to tune these days.

While the guy told me he used 100 shot on the run I cant really be sure if he did or not but since he lost I cant imagine him saying he did when he didnt. It would be much more likely for a guy who lost to say he didnt use it when he actually did.

I didnt really grill him when he mentioned the front mount although he never got out of the car so he must have seen it somewhere along the line.

He was not the typical V8 guy because he said he had been trying to buy an FD and asked me if I would sell mine...
