I have never done this before but i can just imagine what you are talking about...sounds like it would be hard one something...Yes? No?

It's not really hard. Just brake with your left foot, and at the same time give it some gas (keeping the same mph), compensate throttle/brake in order to keep your mph the same, but at the same time building boost. On a race I posted racing a Benz I was brake boosting and you can hear my wg open and barely hear the guy's horn.

I also brake boost from a roll...you can get away with beating faster cars that way...Only problem is that sometimes when do that they think you are going so they will take off not knowing you are just building boost....

It's a 200hp car stock (about 170 to the wheels). With a supercharger it may put down 220-230 to the wheels, with some laughing gas maybe 260-280 if that (I'm giving it probably more just for argument's sake). Put that next to a 400+ rwhp FD, GAME OVER!

i doubt he was squeezing. i own a rsx type-s and am familiar with its aftermarket support. it was either the jackson racing supercharger or the comptech supercharger. i believe both come with a street or race version. high compression + boost + nitrous = no no. also keep in mind the rsx is FWD and has major traction problems. its hard to tell from the video but something must've happened the first run so he matched up again for a second run. ofcourse.. the results were predetermined before that race even took place

Well if he isn't sprayin then he had something. With a supercharger at 230 to the wheels he wouldn't keep up that good on the second run. He had to have some damn good horsepwer to pull that hard to start with. A 400 whp 7 against a 230 RSX and the RSX pulls that hard? Doubt it!

now that i think of it, it seems like a normal s/c rsx..i mean of course he would get the jump cause first of all, he is s/c and second of all, the FD would prob be in lag time..

Can a supercharger be turned on and off at will? I know you cant change boost on the fly because it requires a belt change but is there like an on/off switch for a superchargers?

^^no

superchargers are constantly being used, because the drive belt runs that pulley..

we all know hondas are loud, i dont ever hear a supercharger on a supercharged honda..

even some big turbo hondas at the track, all i hear is motor..

asking alot of honda guys, it came to me that it would be normal for a supercharged honda to get the jump since this was only from a 20mph roll but not enough push to hold that lead against the FD's power gear..

i think the reason y the acrua looked alot faster was also the drive on the FD didnt really jump on it right away, i guess maybe to just play with him. Qucik rsx though, to bad its FWD

if you cant hear a roots blower whine on a honda you are def...same with the turbo..well typically youll hear the open dump (since most run that way) and usually most arent running enough boost to have the turbo screaming away
