Second race! My 93 FD vs...

A 1993 Corvette Lt1 (Full exhaust and cold air intake) 105k miles on it though We start at 10mph going up hill on a good incline (2 lane mainroad 1.5 straight) Typical 3 honk... He pulls ahead in 1st then in second but y the end of second I start reelin him in. By 3rd I'm neck an neck ( We reach the summit an start going back down hill) an by the trans to 4th I'm about 3 - 4 car length's ahead. I shut down at about 110. Good race but still just one of my friends car.

Had my first wanderer race today just past. I knew it was a definite loss it was me an my corvette friend in the car. I had a full tank of gas an spare in the back. We line up at about 20. Me an a 350Z turbo we hit it an by 3rd he was about 8 car lengths ahead. I asked him at the light an he said turbonetics kit (don't know how much he was pushing but must have been a good amount). I knew I was going to lose but man it wasn't that big of a loss. Sheesh for 6500 in a 30k car I'm really dissapointed though. The owner was cool gave him beep an he gave me a beep gave me a thumbs up.

8 car lengths isn't that bad of a loss? 8 FD lengths is roughly the equivalent of 112.8 feet or to put that into perspective, roughly two tractor trailer lengths. For the money spent, I'd say he handily beat you, but whatever you need to tell yourself to sleep at night

yeah, agreed 8 lengths is a new job on the ***

but good run with the vette. those LT1's sure can move well. fullexhaust/intake stick cars are low low 13's for sure. your car must be pretty stout
