This is pretty funny actually. i recently got my hands on a 93 240sx hatchback with the sr20 blacktop already swapped in it. the car also had a large front mount, 3" from the turbo back, aftermarket intake filter, hallman boost controller, turbonetics bov, and some other mods. cars realitively quick and is set at 11 psi of boost. cruizing down lincoln hwy the other night a silver 350z starts pulling up from behind me. now the previous owner intsalled a decent looking body kit but the whole car is primered, it also has rims and many assume it just has exterior mods and a can like too many cars around here. unfortunately the last owner also painted over the tail lights so only two circles showed on either side... very ricer. as the z comes up from the back he probably assumes the the car is mostly stock and i am a ricer he will teach a lesson. he pulls past me and i do nothing since we are on a main road even though its fairly late. he takes a turn onto a backroad so i follow. in his rearview mirror he probably didnt see the front mount so he gunned it, i stayed right on top of him. we come to a stop sign and he peels out and swings around making a right, i follow and he tries even harder to get away. when he can't shake me he takes a quick turn onto a side road w/ no turn signal to get away and runs home tail between his legs. its was very easy to keep up but still made me laugh. hope you enjoyed it

350z's aren't all that hot. Then again, i just love the sr20....

 

I used to own an sr s13 before i got my fd. the sr20 is a powerful motor. just gotta watch those damn oil squirters clogging up above the cams pics def.

Those 350Z's are boats, and overrated. That is until someone slaps a twin turbo on it.

 

^ agreed but i still had fun. i wouldnt have bothered but he wanted a peice so i figured i'd surprise him. there may be some i dont know about but i'm pretty sure i have teh only properly running sr20 power s13 around. so when u see an s13 you normally assume its the stock ka non turbo. its makes it funny when no one expects it

 

haha, my old 91 se-r was fully built, but looked like a blacked out piece of crap. i had sooo much fun shocking people w/ it, it was great. "you're a loser" changed real quick to "damn, what's in that thing ?" sleepers rule

 

nice, yea ive got the same thing going on my s13, looks like a real peice of ****. front end sits like 5 inches higher than it should, front bumper is beat to hell and red, rest of the car is silver, and i have a apexi n1 wannabe exhaust! no one ever sees it coming. unless they actually see the fmic then they know whats up.

 

There are plenty of quick 350Z's that are not Twin Turbo cars. (11-12sec cars)

Also, I don't know why you would say a 350Z is a boat. Most performance cars today are the same weight or more then the 350z.

 

wise man say 3000+ pound qualifies as a boat for a 2 seat sports car.

 

yeah i hear ya, i'm slowly dericing. the cars just got painted but the blue might be too light, if i dont like it i'll have it repainted in daytona blue from the 07 350z, got authentic nismo seats for it, bodywork done, type x wing, and unpainted taillights, exhaust sounds great so most aspects of it are coming together. i'll post pics when i get teh car back tonight and get everyones opinion on the blue
