raced a vette and a evo tonight with the fd

So my little spoiled 16 year old step brother for his first car was a 06 mustang gt, well for a few months. I raced him in that and easily put bus lengths on it. So his dad(my step dad) ofcourse gets rid of that and puts him in a brand new c6 vette(not a z06).

For months he avoided racing me, always for some odd reason. He nows my car he went with me to the tuning and so on. I just figured he was scared but I rode in his car and thought I would lose or it would be a good race. So the other day he ask if I wanna run.

So we go out to race his friend was curious of my car so he rode in it. We did a 40mph role I stayed with him for a few seconds then he started to pull away by the time we were to 100 he was prolly a car on me.

Now his friend wanna a run with me. He has an from what I know bolt-ons, meth kit and is boosting 33psi on his stock turbo. So we went for a run at about 55 mph. I beat him so that made me feel a little better.

All in all it was pretty fun, but now I gotta turn the boost up and get an ignition amp and hopefully I can turn it around with my spoiled little brother :P

Any one else ran one of these and what did it take?

Be careful with those 08 C6's, $1,400 in exhaust work and a simple tune and he'll be around 430RWHP.

Nice death hehe

yeah I thought that much boost was wierd too but he is rich so I am sure he doesnt care about blowing up his turbo, after all he is also 16 with an Evo.

Yeah that vette is pretty fast...luckily for me knowing how my step dad is he wont let him mod it since it's in warranty. So I got some time :P

But all in all not bad for a 16 year old car with bolt ons. That vette did make me want to go ls1 havent seen that many v8's that have that good of top end but I also dont race people much.

So you don't believe he is running that much boost huh? I will see if I can get a vid to keep dumb ***'s like you from posting stupid ****....or better yet why dont you call english racing(the shop that tuned his evo) and ask them about it but please be careful as your head might explode when Lucas the tuner tells you its true.

Well tell me this, how often do you hear of a stock turbo running 33psi? I got a buddy with a evo 8 with 600+ hp and he sure as hell isn't on a stock turbo nor is he even close to 33psi. Is there anybody else that thinks 33psi on a stock turbo is a bit crazy? Like seriously how long do you expect a stocker to last at that psi? I dont care if your hating on me or not, you got to be stupid to be boosting 33psi on a stocker. Tell me full details on his car and is he running a stock crank?...i think not! Im out of this thread....pretty worthless without a video anyways! - NICK

As a stepkid myself I'll tell you that usually stepkids get shitted on when it comes to getting the same things the real children get. My baby sister has been on about 2 or 3 cruises and vacations a year to the Caribbean and Mexico. I've never been past Philadelphia. She has her college paid for, I had to work full time and go to school to pay for it and I'm still paying back school loans still to this day 6 years later. She just got her permit and has been looking for a new car because shes having her dad pay for it. I got $500 LOANED to me for my first car as a high school graduation present. I had to pay it back in the next two months, and I ended up having to buy a bad condition 1990 Integra just to afford any car at all.

I'm guessing he had to work hard for his FD while his brother doesnt really have to work at all for the Vette. I could be wrong though, you never know.

He is spoiled but he doesnt have a mustang he had to give that up for the vette. I got a 96 mustang in high school, I paid payments on it for a year then my parents paid it off...I got it for 5000.

I consider him my full brother but when my step dad divorced my mom he spoiled him because he sided and lived with him.

My fd.....yeah in a year it will be paid off wooohooooo!

FearNoPiston,

You should race your brother without someone in the car with you.

I've seen videos where two evenly matched cars race each other several times with the camera man alternating between vehicles. Each and everytime depending on what car had the camera man in it, lost.

I was thinking that but wasnt sure if it would matter that much at those speeds but it is worth a try. I will do that and take all the junk I have out of my car and my spare and see what happens should be a fun experiment.
