raced an older z06 and evo

Met up with some buddies last night, my friend with his evo 8 (full bolt-ons and ecu reflash) wanted to run me. we went from about a 40 roll. Beat him by about 3 cars. Then later that night at the car meet a guy in an older Z06 (flip up headlights LS6 engine, long tube headers, cams, no cats, full exhaust, intake said he made about 430rwhp) went from 40-140. kept up till about 100mph and then he pulled me by about 2-3 cars. I didnt expect to win but I didnt expect id stay with him as long as I did.

cant correct you cuz im not sure. He said the ls1 and the ls6 have the same bottom end. Its the heads that are different. he said he had upgraded heads, valves, springs, and cams. maybe he put the ls6 heads on his engine. I dont know, but either way he said he had an ls6....

oh and I didnt beat the corvette. he beat me.

its shocking to hear that u stayed with a low11second car like that. i am puzzled. at 13psi u have a low 12second car at best......on a great run.

sounds like u have a nice running fd. congrats! sorry if it seemed like i was second guessing you as its rare to hear about a good running fd these days. noone spends the time to dial things in....they slap **** together then complain or buy a pos in the first place. thats all i read about on here......i guess i am alittle (or alot) bitter.

Nice run, you held pretty close from what it sounds like. At about 100, the vette comes alive. I believe that the 02-05 Z06 had the LS6, but i believe that the 01 had the LS1 with a different intake. Might have still been labled LS6, but meh.

Anyways, nice run, one day youll get that kill.
