Once again out to lunch, i see a Z28 comeing hard up on me, so i get in 2nd gear, he pulls up. I'm at like 4k, we go 4500 2nd turbo 10psi i take a car 8.5k go to **** to 3rd, ******* grinds on me, i'm done. He comes back at a light and asked to go again from a stop ok. 1st 1 car, 2nd 3 cars, 3rd same **** i'm done again. . I give him the thumbs up. I start playing with my car, so hi rev 2nd under load it will not go into 3rd yaaaa for me.

I knew my tranny was bad but i has never done this before. Anyone know where i can pic a rebuilt one up?

 

Sorry about your trans!!! What about 5th? does it go into 3rd a low rpms???

Did you keep grinding 3rd??? I'm having a bitch of a time getting used to my short shifter and 3rd sometimes gives me a hard time...

Once i made the slitest felling of grinding i let off. 5th is messed up to i have to rev match it on the freeway so i don't grind. And yes low rpms 3rd works find. I really need to get it rebuilt or get a new used one or something.

 

sounds like you were granny shifting and not double clutching like you should

 

I wonder if theyre hard to get? I'd like to pick one up at some point. Have it as a spare!
