NSX vs C5 Corvette (almost died)

My NSX is stock with a small shot of Nitrous. I don't know about the C5

From a dig 0 - 125 mph

Reved to 6k RPM's part throttle. After dumping the clutch and getting a little wheel spin I floored it just before bogging to let the nitrous take and I was instantly a car ahead ini first. Shift to second, damn VTec crap and tall *** gears revs dropped to 4k rpm's but amazingly he stayed 1 car back and into third he gained a few inches again when I shifted. Now he starts to inch on me at about 110-125mph but the race is over just before hitting 4th gear and I put on my flashers to signal I won.

BTW some idiot civic tards stopped on the track before it finished and I almost hit both of them. I did 125mph to 50 before veering hard left and right again almost losing control in a 4 wheel braking drift it was INSANE! Somehow the car controlled itself and never gave out then It straightend out and slowed down the rest of the way with no brake fade. Amazing car.

Anyways the Nitrous comes off tomorrow.

BTW Car is for sale 28,000 never raced

Racing is bad Mcay so don't race anything is possible including tards in civics ******* things up.

I can't tell if this thread is a joke or not, heh.

They don't even make 2005 C5s, do they? 2005 was C6. And I never thought there was a Z06 convertible?

If this is real, good kill...

Uhm. Giant *** bullshit flag. They didnt ever make the Z06 as a convertible. There is no way in hell you beat an 05 Z06 convertible, since they never existed. One or the other, not both.

I cant tell if its a joke or not, but im still calling BS with what he is saying...Cuz it cant be true.

They didnt have an 05 model Z06 anyways...they made an 04, skipped 05 and made an 06 Z06. He isnt even correct on the HP numbers though. 05 Vettes had 400hp stock, 400 ftlbs of torque. Though they also had shitty gearing, too tall for real racing (cept the Z06, or possibly the Z51 Package, but thats mostly handling, not too large a change in the ratios). And they rated the standard Vette at the flywheel, and the 06 Z06 at the wheels, or at least thats what ive read in every publication that ive seen.

And as for the quarter mile (which is just short of how far you raced) is 12.5 according to chevy. It does 0-60 in 4.2. If it had really been a Z06, this story would have had a much different ending, NOS or not.

Dont want to sound like im baggin on you, but correct your story, and i may congratulate you.

yea definately no Z06 in '05 or in a vert. just because it has the Wheels and the fake brake coolers doesnt mean its a z. so that makes sense now why he lost you have squeeze and it was a stock vert.

The new c6 vette has 400hp and they do come convertable.

The old z06 had 405hp (read the plaque on the side of the car).

Good race. Obviously the vette was a auto. Could of happened so I'm not ready to raise the bs flag yet.

If it had non pop-ups it was a C6 convertible or a C5 with a headlight kit, but if it is really a 2005 then it is a C6. They've never made a convertable z06 in any generation and they didn't make any z06s in 2005. They have 400hp and a base convertible should run mid-high twelves with a decent driver.

How much nitrous do you have? Stock for stock, a C6 should murder you in a straight line.

i was there. von is boggled on what kind of car it was. the vette was a 2006 c6 convertible 6spd. the lauch on both cars was dead even from my view. von pulled a car top of first, it stayed that way the whole way down the track.
there was a silver 03 cobra(366whp) thinking hes the ****. to bad von you didnt race him¿?
anyways the nitrous was a 80 shot.

Even considering that you had the top model, with 290 horse, before the 80 shot, thats still only 370, and from what you say, stock gearing. And the weight is about 3100 pounds.

What youre saying really doesnt add up dude, 370 hp, with 3100 lbs, vs 400 hp, and 3200 lbs. Not to mention that the LS2 puts out more torque than the V6 you have in the NSX.

Driver in the Vette must have sucked.

I would have to see this one to believe it.
