NA 88 vs Suby WRX wagon
The Burgundy Beast is back at it!
My car: 88 NA. Stock exhaust manifold to 2.25 inch, magna flow muffler, no cats, no airpump, K&N drop in. Tokico Blues/Eibach, S4 lsd, TII rims (off my TII), no front sway bar took it off to put my beefy sway bar on my TII never put anything back on my NA.
His car: year 2000+ WRX wagon with huge exhaust and looked like 4 inch muffler. lowered/rims, decent set up I would imagine.
Guy cuts me off on 101 right before San Thomas exit on my way back from picking up my sister at mission college. I rev my engine a bunch of times (no horn) and he floors it. We take off and he pulls on me a couple car lengths from 40 to like 70. Exit comes up he lets off the gas just before he turns (i have taken the exit at 85+) but gets back on after he points his car.... I just stayed floored the whole time and made up most of the distance he put on me after I hit the apex.
We go a little further and he puts on the brakes because we both have to merge onto San Thomas Expressway. I am right on his *** as we merge on going about 65-70mph in 3rd. We both floor it and we are pretty even in the top end up to about 100+ mph.
The guy really surprised me how fast he took the exit. Even though it wasn't as fast as me I never see people in fast cars go ***** out with me... After canyon racing for 5 years and racing dozens and dozens of different cars... only about maybe 10 of them really push their car to the limits.
Also if I didn't have my sister in the car with me it may have been more even in the low end... she is 200+ pounds, pretty big girl.
