N/A vs Mustang
First off I drive an 87 N/A. Not to many mods, a previous owner made there own exaust, basically a straight pipe with one muffler in it. The whole interior is stripped of all but necessities, and thats pretty much all thats done to the car. I also have bad struts and tires.
Anyway, my friend has a stock 95 5.0 V8 Mustang and we have been wanting to race for a while so last night we finally did.
We went out to this road that goes for like a mile then dead ends to construction that they quit working on, so theirs never any cars on it, and if their happend to be for some reason theirs a 4ft wide median with a curb so no crossing yellow lines, so it's a pretty safe place. Its about a 1/4 mile straight then three fast(60-65mph) turns.
We raced from a stop. First race he honked 3 times and he got a little jump on me, I spun really bad but still held pretty close the whole time. We both slowed down when we got to the turns.
Second race we had someone to tell us to go. I got a much better launch and got about three car lengthes on him in first then in second he slowly started passing me and continued to slowley pull. This time though we kept going in the turns and I killed him. I think it was a combination of my car handling way better and him being a bit of a *****, but by the end of the road I probably had about 15-20 car lengthes on him.
I was very suprised how good the N/A did against a V8, I thought he would kill me in the straight line, but he really barley had anything on me.

My tires have bad tread but it's not like there about to blow out or anything. I've been to the road before and worked my up to going that fast, not like I just railed the turns my first time seeing them.

Honestly the SN95 mustangs with the 5.0 were slower than the 4.6 believe it or not. The 96-04 also handled better. My boy's 04 with mild suspension and awesome rims is a beast on the touge.
