Two beautiful cars... Good race too. What kinda numbers are you putting down? Is your Porsche AWD or RWD?? There is a local guy with a black AWD Porsche with an estimated 750 crank hp

 

Not really sure on the numbers there isn't an awd dyno locally. My guess would be 500whp. That z should put down 465ish and with my awd and 400lbs more that seems about right.

Interesting...I popped on 6 speed online and saw a Porsche around here that I recognized by the plate. I pulled in behind him tonight to get some race fuel. He made 830 whp I see.... Also saw another 997 tt I ran a couple weeks back...

BTW: Indy any mods on the 996?

Do some research. You can get a 996TT for the same price of a C6 Z06 these days.

 

Im not talking used. You can maybe get a 2001 for 60K. All im saying is mod that Zo6 and see it walk that 996. A ZO6 with a cam, headers and a tune make mid 500 RWHP. With a 150 and the mods I posted it made over 700 RWHP. APS makes a TT kit for the new ZO6 and puts down over 620RWHP on a stock C6 Zo6 @ only 6psi . Link below Also the gearing is amazing on the highway.

Like I said I love the 996TT but the ZO6 is the best bang for the buck out there.

What 996TT Porsche comes stock with 500RWHP? That is what the owner of that Porsche said in the 3rd post. If they both went all out on mods the ZO6 would still win!!! The only reason I am even posting is because the guy in the Porsche thinks he killed that stock ZO6 when he didn't even get one car on it. That sucks!!!

also i dont think the race was clean to be honest. looks to me the porsche jumps him by a very small margin and in 4th the z06 was gonna pass. do the race again this time dont jump, go to 150mph, and tell the vette to run w/o a passenger. bet the outcome would be different. awesome vid though. both of em. love the **** talking. what is vette.com saying about this? anyone have link?

The X50 was a package on the 996 tt to give it more power.

It's actually just a slightly larger turbo and exhaust with an adjusted bar setting(more boost). Stock is k16, optioned x50 is k24. Great comments guys. lol I think we all know that when talking on the net is pointless to argue hypothetically if either of the cars are not stock.
