my 87 T2 > rx8
Raced an rx8 on 290 east in Mass the other day. It looked pretty stock and apparently it was. He pulled up next to me in the middle lane and was checkin the car out. He started to signal me for a 3 honk and go type of thing so I nodded my head.
On the 3rd honk I dropped into 3rd and we stayed even for a millisecond or two After my turbo had fully spooled i took off, shifted into 4th and prolly went to 5 or 6 grand in 4th. I dont have a workin speedo but thats prolly around 115.
After I slowed down to get off the highway he gave me a thumbs up after he finally caught up.

good stuFF
yeah, the RX8 is awfully weak when it comes to putting down power (i hear), but what i'd like to see is a race, either on the track or a windy road... revving to 9 grand has it's advantages THERE, and i'd like to see how a turbo II stacks up against it's "younger, larger brother"...
