Mustang GT - Tie

Well, my first tie/kill/lose with someone with the supercharged rx7...

Was going to pick up my girlfriend on the way there I lined up next to a black Mustang GT with loud *** exhaust, I didn't even look at him just took off on my merrey way (but my car's charger is so loud you CANT deny looking at it).

So, anywho, he floors it, I play catch up and he lets off as do I, I pace him a bit, he finally guns it and I floor it as well, I start to pass him and then guess what? The belt starts skipping/squealing...SOB

So, now I get to find a solution to this problem so my boost isn't random hehe. I feel pretty confident that I could have beat it if I wouldn't have had the skipping belt.

Ah man, that sucks that your belt was slipping. Just make some sort of tensioner pulley for it, or if you already have one, substitute one with stronger resistance.

Well, from the looks of it, the alternator tightens up teh serpentine belt, the problem is, I have that sucker all the way tightened...it didn't do any good , maybe it's just stretching out.

I'm thinking about going to get the gator back belt everyone keeps ranting and raving about...

DPF22, if I send you the money can you pick me one up? The nerf at the Auto Zone here said "we don't carry them" - I about slapped him, he was just lazy and didn't want to get up and look.

K060495 is the part number...
