MY AFR'S ARE Low so me and my friend decided to go to the dyno, on the way there we decided to run.


the first run was a good launch for both of us as we started from 40-160.

the 2nd run the vette got the jump before i spooled. This one was from 60-140.



when we got to the dyno i dynoed at 448hp @ 15lbs and the z06 did 487hp! THE VETTE IS A INTAKE, THROTTLEBODY, MAINFOLD, TUNE!

My car is a t78, apexi power fc, 550cc/1600cc street port 2mm seals aeromotive a1000 fuel pump!

That's killer. Those cars are monsters stock. So a modded example is definitely crazy

the 1st run he was on motor, the 2nd run he sprayed 100shot

I thought it was gonna be alittle closer, but he pulled on you pretty hard.

It looked like he sprayed on the first run when you started pulling on him. It seems like you were gonna win, but then out of nowhere, he just caught up and passed you.

Are you sure because he started pulling really hard in the end of the first run. Besides, he's only making like 40hp more and he is heavier so without nitrous, he shouldnt have pulled so hard.

well we did another run after that and i pulled on him, without the nitrous he wouldn't pull away from me. No matter who i run my 5th gear always slows me down which is why i only run to the end of 4th! if i ran him on the 17lbs it wouldnt be a race, but my ignition system is breaking up @ a high boost so i ran him on 13lbs

Cheat like me and add water/alky injection. Go over 20psi easily. Did you start in 2nd gear?? or 3rd? Sounded like it took forever to get through your gears if you started in 2nd. I guess because you were at 13psi. What kind of ignition? And how old are your plugs? I am anal and change mine every 1000 miles.

Vette owner claims only difference between 1st and 2nd run was that he hooked... didn't seem to mention a 100 shot on LS1tech.

Your story is sooo chopped up.. let me recap... First race: You raced him at 13lbs (but dynod 448 at 15lbs) him 487 off of the bottle (supposedly)..

Second race: You at 13lbs him on the bottle?

i'm the vette owner, and the camera guy is a witness that i was spinning the first run......i have no nitrous

I've raced a stock Z06 & pulled him by ~ 2 cars from 70 - 130 mph & I am putting down less power than you (and I too had a passenger, only a 125 lbs wife, but it was still a passenger). You should not have gotten pulled, not with over 400 rwhp - something ain't right (either your car or he's got more than an "air filter"). Are you heavy.... along with a heavy camera guy racing a twig man in the Z or what? Something ain't right - just trying to guess (maybe you are not getting adequate spark even at 13#s - I dunno).

That was a nice Z. Props to the Z06 - quick cars.

umm i ran you on 17lbs and you couldnt catch me!

ok let me explain this again. This race was a while ago i didnt not race him on 17lbs in this race. This was way before we even dynoed,

1st run & 2nd run no nitrous (he doesnt have any). 1st run he spinned and i got ahead but once he hooked he left. 2nd run he hooked & left.

I was on 14lbs. We did another run (not on video) on 17lbs and i stayed even with him (i pulled inches & when i shift he started getting even with me, but the 17lbs race was not recorded).

Dont go by anything in the 1st page. Just read this and leave it like that b4 this turns into another rotartech thread!

WHITEZ is the ronfellows vette that i raced! (intake, tune, ported throttlebody, mainfold, no Nitrous)


there is a problem with my map, I supposed to be at 478 @ 17lbs but my afr's are insane low, my map is all messed up so im getting another tune!

Weaksauce on the nitrous call, now go get you map fixed and get the higher boost runs on video next time. :)

Definitely not on the second run at least. Listen very closley after the third honk. After the vet is already a car ahead you can actually hear his turbo spool up.

seems like to me the fd lost and the only reason he hung in first race was b/c the z06 didnt get traction. As far as mods, boost level and power levels of either car who the fuck knows. these guys are soemthing else.

That is true. I mean the 100 shot was really the homerun. Its one thing to say you used the nitrous if you DID at least have nitrous but to say you used nitrous when you dont even have nitrous, thats like the ultimate desperation in trying to cover up a loss. LOL

Single turbo FD at 14 psi loses badly to new, essentially stock, Z06 (on video)

Single turbo FD at 17 psi almost runs even with new, essentially stock, Z06 (not on video)
