Infuriated an E92 M3 owner
 

Caught a light with an E92 M3 ('08+ coupe). It was probably a guy in his early 30s with a hot blonde girlfriend. I was in the left turning lane and he was in the right lane (3 lanes total). I had a friend with me who wanted me to race him. I wasn't really up for it. The light turns green and my friend sticks half his body out the passenger window, looks the guy right in the eye and gives him a vicious thumbs down. I just laugh, thinking nothing of it, and we keep driving.

We turn off the main road to a twisty side road near an industrial park. I look up in the rear view and there is the M3 and he is pissed! He is riding my ass and everything. I make a left down another wide open side street. He's still on my ass so floor it in 2nd up through the top of 3rd. He is staying on my tail but I think I very very slowly started to inch ahead of him, touge style. It wasn't exactly a "race" but if I had to call it, it was pretty much a draw. My turn was coming up so I quickly slowed down and made a right.

He flies by us revving his engine (bouncing off the limiter) while his girlfriend has her head out the window screaming "FUCK YOU!!!!!!!" while flipping us the bird. It was unexpected, bizarre, and pretty damn funny.

Car is a '94 street ported with stock sequential twins, dyno'd 300whp.

Newer M3's are fucking beastly. You would've gotten hammered off the light and he would have nailed you in the twisties, but I'm sure it was interesting to watch and partake in. I kinda want to see a head to head run of the two cars now

So I am driving down the road yesterday and some tool was hanging out of some beat up green FD with his thumbs down. What a dick ;) At least my girl got her revenge as we chased them down and yelled FUCK YOU!! It was great.

I had the same encounter with a beat up FD, my girl flipped them off and yelled "fucked you" while I gave them herpes.

And I thought it was cauliflower.

My buddy has a E92 M3 DCT and my 320whp FD begins to pull away in 3rd-4th gear. They are quick I guess but he has never kept up with me in the twisties...

What road was it? Raleigh is pretty much as straight of a road as you're going to find.

um don't the new 3 series smoke the new m3's? (twin turbo + base tune would burn the high rev v8 from the video's i've seen...I love the new 3 series...so fucking sexy just not a big fan of M's and we all know boost is better :D )

Stock for stock... No. The M3 is much quicker than the 335i. I'm sure however that an already boosted platform is easier to make big hp numbers than the built to the tilt n/a 4 liter v8 in the M3.

I agree with this. There is about a 114hp diff b/t the e92 335 and the M3.

But from what I have been hearing, the turbo'd i6 is very tunable.

I'd still rock a e92 335i over the m3, as I am a hardcore i6 fan.

I had an M3 owner go way out of his way to get right on my ass a week or so ago, then when traffic clears he floors it and does a flybye like a stupid ricer....are Beemer owners insecure or what? I half thought about running him down and blowing his doors off but decided he wasn't worth my gas money. Big boat.

14psi, but the turbos are practically blown and they aren't holding that boost very well up top. They smoke pretty bad too.

The guy driving the MS3 is my friend John. He attends our local Thursday Rotary meet as he used to have an Rx8. He told me the story in person, he was just so dumbfounded from the guys attitude he didn't know what to do. If you met John you can understand this, he is a nice timid guy not looking for trouble, and I thought his reaction was a logical one.

The less drama up on Calaveras the better. That is the funnest road I have ever touged and I would like to continue to do so. There have been many wrecks lately and a body dumping/murder so the cops are all over that place now. :(

I have owned both and my current DD is a 335i with a Dinan Stage II package. The M3 was faster, but the 335i is much easier to live with as a DD. However, the Dinan software makes these baby turbos sing!

Hey now, I'm still a member of the M forum, beemerfest, and beemerforum. All of them are great communities.

My only problem with those forums (and this one) is "rice" type mods such as CSL trunk lids, angel eyes, etc. If it only makes the car look faster, don't do it.

I love BMWs don't get me wrong... but serously most of the owners are just weird...

Same with VW owners... most of them think their car is God on wheels.. Although every once in a while you will get a VW owner who knows that VWs are the biggest pile of crap ever made and they regret buying it. Never do you see a VW owner who is like "My car is ok".

I seen plenty of vw owners who think there car is just ok. H2O car show is Maryland has a HUGE VW meet, best time of my life. Lots of vw owners there are down to earth. Lots of crazy mofos too.

Sorry to bump an old vid but I think the BMW guy was drunk, the way he was acting reminds me of one thing....Think about it Married, White Dude, In his 40's, Kids, and the BMW is the only thing he has left of his manhood. So he had some drinks and was driving his favorite route only to find himself about to be overtaken by a Mazda econocar....I'd be pissed as well.

I try to avoid road rage incidents as much as I can.

Once I was high as a kite behind the wheel of my MR2 Turbo, back when I use to smoke a lot of weed (about 5 years ago), and this kid in a big truck comes along side me and says "Hey, I think your car is gay" and I was so stoned I didn't realize he was trying to bait me into road-raging with him and said "Oh..Thanks.." and then he continued to call me a faggot and what not. I took my first right and drove away, I guess he didn't like imports and didn't like the car more than me as a person.

His passenger didn't really say anything, but I can't help but think people who start road rage incidents are pussy tool boxes that don't have the balls to say it to someones face, but feel nice and safe inside their car without having to face-face confront the person they have an issue with. Its similar to disrespecting people on the internet, from the safety of your home and behind a keyboard and monitor. The type of people to do that stuff got bullied a lot in life and want to dish back what they received through pissing on other peoples parade while not reducing their own physical safety in anyway shape or form.

Your passenger was definitly a douche for starting a road-rage incident, even if you have a low opinion of BMW owners. I had to beg my passenger not to throw a penny at a womans car because she took issue and flipped me off several times over my pro-choice bumper sticker, the sad thing is, my passenger was my older brother, and hes suppose to be more mature than me.

technically the BMW driver did nothing wrong by drawing his gun cause the other guys brought deadly weapons. (under ca state laws) now taking the camera and keys that was his fault.

I dunno, the camera can be used as evidence against the truck driver and passenger, so he could of needed that. What are they gonna do, go to the police to tell them they were threatened by a guy with a gun?

If they hid the Camera, it would of been there word against his, the camera provided clear evidence that they were threatening, harassing, and following him just to fuck with him for no apparent reason other than they didn't like him having his top down and girlfriend in the car.

The keys, throwing them down the road, was to make sure that hes no longer being followed by the guys, since they had been following him for miles. Its clear that the men in the video were acting felonious, and they are lucky the BMW driver abides by the law and he didn't call the cops to intervene and put them behind bars.

BMW driver acted appropriately, and he kept his head cool too. Someone without a cool head, there would of been a massacre, and then the BMW driver would of been in jail for 25-life, but he kept his wits about him and didn't shoot the guy even when he was bringing a baseball bat towards him.

As a criminal justice major, I don't see him doing anything out of the ordinary and the police would have sided with him.

Ive had people yell and fuck with me because I drove an import and either had the top down or the TTops off. Apparently its unmanly to some rednecks to enjoy a japanese or other imported sports car and the free open air, and they will call you a faggot for it thusly and try to road rage with you. Its best to ignore them, or blow them a kiss as a mockery of their hatred for you, your car and their homophobia.

Personally I think the video is fake.... Just the reactions of everyone seem almost scripted.
