You must mean modded N/A fc's , right?

I'm not trying to start a flame war here, but my lightly modded Celica walks away (slowly) from RX-8's and my lightly modded TII smokes my Celica, so he must mean against lightly modded N/A's.

your 8 also kicked my *** too, Oh do you have your midpipe yet
I don't know...from some of the post here, you'd think my 8 was a brick with stone square wheels... Oh well... I have the mid-pipe, but have not installed it yet. I f'd up my back at work and have had to take it easy this week. I should have it in soon though-I got all new gaskets so I'm good to go. I may attempt it tommorow, but I only have jackstands and it would be so much nicer with a lift. I need to find one of those "good-ole boy" exhaust shops and see if they'll pop it in-or atleast let me "rent" the lift. I'd like to take my TII out, but I need to fix the Alt wiring, just for safetly sake. You'd really like it though. Nothing like hear a turbo rotary spool!

BTW a Greddy turbo kit is actually around 3 grand. The only reason it would be 6ish is if you ditched the POS E-manage in favor of an Interceptor-X, in which case you would be getting 100+ RWHP increases. YUMMY!

And imo the greedy turbo kits arnt worth it they only ad like 90hp for like 6 grand... and they are still not that fast.
hey get ur facts str8 b4 u start blabbling about stupid things. i respect all rotary owners. but don't be putting out dummass numbers out there out of ur ***. in my case as a 8 owner. i've been tuning my car mainly on suspension, and all basic bolt ons, and na tune it. it AIN'T no turbo like the 7's deal with it. it comes with many other things on the car that can outdo a 7. and i admit. 8's arent all that fast str8. and HECK auto 8? lol it is sad. but guys understand that this car is still new and in a lot of reseach and development to come out. thats all im trying to say. why bash on each other? i think its stupid

Some of you guys take it too far and make it personal. No need for that, at some point another 8 with more ***** might just walk the 1st gen. Then what?

Now, I was wondering about the turbos on the 8s just cause i keep seeing them around here. Most of the time I'm the one trying to be friendly but hardly any of them are even aware of why. I've only had about 2 or 3 RX-8 owners actually know I got a rotary also and wave.

to be honest. half of the ppl who own the greddy on their 8's love it for hate it. some think its enough power. and the other half think it isnt enough. IMO i think it needs a bit more. out of the box. but i've seen good numbers. one member was pushing 328hp to the wheels. which is pretty impressive. another 8 member wanted more haha so he went with a 3 rotor!. pushing 657 at the wheels? i believe. but the car is still new. waiting on some more products

I waited till this thread had three pages to read it. I'm glad I did. LOL That guy in the Rx-8 sounds like a real clown. I bet his 11.9 was an 1/8 mile run.

Nice job man.

Someday I plan on owning an eight, but the thing is: I wouldn't buy it for a sports car, more like a car to carry four people around in, get groceries, and travel in. I don't really look at it as much of a sports car even though the handling is great - it just strikes me as a car more suitable for a college student that has to travel around a lot with friends, or the parent that has a kid old enough to not sit in a baby's seat. I just don't see racing in one like any of the rx-7's. I think it would make a great car, though - aside from it being so ugly. That being said, I would still buy it long before any other new car short of a Porsche 911 Turbo.

a good friend of mine here has an 8 and i will admit, that car is soooo much fun! going to 9k rpms is a great feeling. and his is actually pretty fuggin peppy! it would have smoked my car in n/a form. but as my fb is now, i can annihilate him just leaving it in 5th gear and rolling out. LOL, but regardless his car at our local motorsport park (CMP) goes flawlessly. keeping up with the Porsche cars and all.

i <3 the 8

Yeah I was talking N/A Fc's but I know anything turbo would be a different story, but then again that's comparing apples and oranges; turbo to N/A. I would love to see a well tuned tuirbo 8 vs a TII or even a FD. Theres a thread on rx8club right now that has video of a stock 8 vs a Greddy Turbo 8. BIG difference. Wish I had money to turbo mine!
