I out pulled a Viper 20-100

It was a brand new roadster.
We just happened to be first at a light.
Normal start.
He gassed it.
I gassed it.
What a blast seeing him in the mirror.

OK he had just picked up the car and didn't want to overdrive his experience with it.
That was wise.
I'm sure the Viper was capable of more, but it was fun seeing him in back.
I'm still smiling.

Sounds fun, most likely the guywas still within his break-in period. You would need ~325-350ish at the wheels to pull one in an all out race, even then traction might be a problem. Carl

Vipers are straight line monsters so you would need a good bit of power to pull on him. They run low 12s stock.

Yeah if you can actually keep the damn thing in a straight line when you are flooring it...

Very true. Last time I was at the drag strip, I ran a 15.2, and a 13.5, back to back in my FD. On the 15.2 run I got beat by a N/A VW golf Bet I made that kids day.

I was just giving a reference of what they are capable of from the factory. But yeah a lot of folks don't know how to drive, including myself.

that viper probably was not racing you.

as car said, you'd need around 350 at the wheels to roll on a viper. a s5 TII with stock ports, stock ecu, stock turbo isnt going to make that much power

This is funny, the guy was probably doing 1/4 throttle just hanging with you. He wasn't trying at all.

did you guys even read what he wrote?

He admitted that the guy had just picked up the car and most likely didn't get on it very hard.
