So I'm back home for a few days due to the whole trial thing. I brought the 7 home to see what sort of new cars were around since I had left, hoping to find something to play around with . About 15 minutes ago I ran into two mustangs, one GT and one Cobra, both of the 99-03 generation. They were blocking both lanes of traffic , I guess talking to each other , so I got a little close to the white one, hoping to line up against the Cobra.

The GT tried to take off while I was behind it, so I stayed about 6 feet off his bumper until we got to the next light. Eventually it turned off and I was beside the Cobra, who apparently didn't want anything to do with me. I took off a bit up to 50 and slowed down, trying to goad him into going. Well I see him take off in my rear view mirror, hard , so I shifted into 3rd to try to match and eventually pass him... Which I never did. He came flying by at a pretty good pace, supercharger just whistling away, with me never making any ground on him. In my defense, he did get the first jump and was already moving while I was shifting into 3rd (should've gone to 2nd, but I didn't think he'd be that fast), but that's all I've got. He pulled on me, VERY hard, and I never had any sort of chance at pulling him back in.

I've got intake, dp, and cb, but that's it so far. I thought I had a pretty good chance due to an earlier encounter with another Cobra, but apparently this one was pretty heavily modded. I have a boost controller, ecu, SMIC, and '99 twins to throw on, but the twins won't get here for a while yet. To be honest, it hurt my feelings enough that I'm thinking about selling it all and going single, but I know I'm not ready for that just yet. Ah well, I guess there's always something faster.

Honest man to actually post your losses on here.
Dont feel too bad you arent that modded. Throw some more on and find a less modded/stock cobra.

Thanks. I really didn't realize I'd get rolled on that hard considering I've pulled on the same model cobra before. Guess you live and learn. Wish the guy would've pulled over to at least let me know what he had done to it, but no such luck. Love your car btw, the VR-4 Spyder was my first dream car.

lol... Don't worry about getting killed, it's what makes it fun Especially getting killed by an 03 cobra you basically picked one of the worst possible cars to go against on a roll. Those things put down 360-380 RWHP STOCK and respond extremely well to mods. I'm sure that cobra was modded as well...

Are you sure that the one you raced before was supercharged? because I've got intake, dp, and cb, but that's it so far and as you know those mods aren't very extensive. I know that a relative good runing mildly moded FD can keep up with a 03-04 cobra up to 3rd gear, but after 70-80 MPH it turn into a massacre.

They were called terminators for a reason because when they came out they destroyed the competition. Those cars were meant to do one thing and they do it well, go fast in a straight line. I'd be happy if I could keep in the general area of one of those if I raced one, they're fast cars and with simple bolt ons and chip can run 11's. If I was you I'd be living the single life.
