My mods are: Street port ALS seals Greddy T78 Haltech E8 Pump gas LS2 ignition coils. Around 450-480rwhp. nice runs still. I'm not a big fan of Nitrous though. A 1.3l turbo vs a v8 with nitrous.. i think you did well.

He's a friend of mine so I knew what was coming.
He runs high 10s on motor and high 9s with the 150shot, so I had no chance either way. I'm always down to race, whether I'm gonna win or not. I don't get butt hurt, cause I know I'm one of the slower guys. |
1 question comes to mind, what set up would the FD need in order to take and beat the Beast???

used to have a buddy around my area with a SBC in an old s10 with a 75 shot. he figured we were going to race so prematurely he upped his shot to a 150. he beat me by a car but rod knocked it in the end. nowhere near the built engine as your friend tho

Did you try to brake boost? He still would have pulled you eventually I think but might have made it more interesting. Nothing like being taken out back to the woodshed! Good runs and nice rides. G

Throw a turn or two into that race and run it again. I doubt he's done the suspension work needed to do anything other than a straight line.
20B is the other way to go if you want to just stay in a straight line. Speed costs money - how fast do you want to go? |

You'll notice on the first run that it nose dived while brake boosting, my fuel map was a little too rich causing it to fall flat on it's face once i got to full boost at such a low rpm.

Do you have a dyno sheet of the power your car is making? If he was spraying a 150 shot on a carbed stock cube 350 you should have beat him with almost 500 HP. I'm willing to bet you're not making as much power as your butt thinks you are.

He has run a best of 9.99sec @132mph with that small 150 shot.
And he also ran high 10s on motor alone so, I'm pretty sure he's got me. My butt dyno is a little off calibration too, but my trap speed tells me I'm high 400hp. Actually I think the track was downhill....for real... |

spray is ok, I have quite a few friends who have it on the F-bodies/GTOs around here and it does wonders, cheap power. Just another form of power-adder.

There's a 650whp FD in japan running 9s on street tires...with a 13B...I think it has a single turbo...but i'm not 100% sure. Was street legal...I find that pretty sick. No nitrous :P . Here's the link:

I'm pretty sure you would murder that truck from a roll motor to motor. Its obviously going to run quicker at the track because it is 100% set up for it. Run him from 40 again with no spray. You will pull at least 2 lengths and just keep on pulling if I were to guess. Hell you were right there with him on the 150 shot in the second race.

The only point in which he pulled on you was when you were shifting. When you were in gear and ON power, you actually seemed to pull HIM. In fact I think it would not even be a fair race if he was off spray. |
