Red face How to Dry a 93 RX7 Touring Edition...

After I wash my car, I like to use the proper cloth to dry it off with, like normal people. But my cousin however has a different approach to drying his RX7. He believes that hugging the apex and quick acceleration through the gears is a far superior way of getting that spotless finish (must be a rotary thing?!?!). He promises that in Japan, this is the way they dry there automobiles.

Anyways, here are some photos and video of all this. Never though washing a car would be like competing in the JGTC?!? Enjoy my friends

NICE video!!

Does he have that habit of playing with the shift **** when its not in gear? I know alot of my friends who do that and it annoys me lol. Like i see them checking to see if its in neutral but they do it for like 20 seconds straight like your cousin did. Im like dude, its in neutral, you dont have to play with it side to side. lol

But yeah that video was nice. Sorta risky though cause arent cops around your way BAD? Im surprised he was speeding on those roads and doing that overtake on that one car, just tell him to be careful.

I play with my shifter to but it shakes like its in neutral in everygear due to terrible bushings

Nice video though except the fact your cousin sits like a girl his knees are almost touching his chest

Thanks guys, I like to sit somewhat close to the pedal, clutch and shifter. Not only is there better visibility but more control over the essential elements in controling a car.

Nice vid, Better be careful on the parkway. I have a tendensy to sit close as well and play with the shift **** while in neutral. I guess it's just a bad habbit.

lol... watch out for rust.. when the sun bakes the water beads on your paint it will start disolving into your paint sinking in and causing rust/water marks/ peeling.

Driving + wet car = more dirt on your car.

Tell him to mod the car, it sounds slow. Oh and he is early apexing.

Radkins if you have nothing nice to say dont say anything at all. Second this isnt labeled intense racing video this is a joke about the way I dry my car. Im not worried about taking the apex correctly when my tires are potentially wet. Thanks for trying to bash my video that was done for fun. Also by the way everybody who has rode in my car has labeled me as a very good driver. My experience is enough to not need any advice from you on how to take a turn. The funny thing is you judge me on two turns I take. First turn I dont even push my car on it and come out of it flooring my car in the wrong gear starting low in the rpms. Second turn I take perfectly and double the speed recommended. By the way my car is very quick for its mods. Anyways God bless and thanks for your wonderful comment ; )

Now that is funny. Are you an instructor too? It would make three of us on the thread.

Then why were you reckless driving?

BTW: I have no problem with what you did just showing the weakness of your point.
