i feel no inclination to tangle the sheets with a ferrari owner. drive up to my house in a clean black 3rd gen with a jdm body kit, gram wheels, negative camber, and a nice solid tail slide into my driveway and i'm yours. <3<3<3<3

(unless you as a person totally suck. in which case a chrysler me-412 wouldn't even save you )

So if the fb was ahead of the fd by that much, he was doing what, 150 mph? I think an fb would go airborne at those speeds.

A Ferrari is NOT a lot of car. It's a lot of money and a lot of fame for the name. Sure, they go great lengths in aerodynamics and all that, but don't make it out to be one of the greatest cars ever.

You're local...why don't you come around my way, and I'll show you what the good old 11 year old FD can do against Porsches, Ferraris and other "exotics." Heck, in the 50+ Lambos and Ferraris I've come across in this area, I've only gotten ONE to race me, and that's because all the others were being pushed by old gray haired men, or real fat guys, none of which prob. have a clue how to drive it past 55.

I'm w/ you on that. I recently bought the factory wrap-around spoiler for my FB, because she gets tipsy above 80...

I don't think the pics are related to the video, as it's a picture of a 612 Scaglietti and a 2-rotor FB.

I'm just wondering....what would you rather be driving though?

I'd take the Ferrari, and that's all that matters.

I saw that video and it was an R-32 Skyline. Not an R-34. And 5 pages with no video

As Jeremy Clarkson proclaimed :
"I view Ferraris as a small reincarnation of God"

The Ferrari is not ment to be an all out straight line performance car by ANY means. It is ment to be a track car, repairs may be expensive, but its ment to be driven, driven hard.

When Topgear did their favorite cars the 360 Modena was WAY up there w/ their choice of best of all time(Mclaren F1). This was before the 360 Challenge Stradale, whose steering was commented as "perfect" literally. Plus its got 420 horses. Still, lets face it, the Ferrari engine is wonderful technology; but its the chassis that is the true star of the car.

Bottom line is any car can be made faster than a Ferrari, hell it can be done for less than 2000 dollars I bet, however, I doubt any car like that will ever be one eight thousandth of what the Ferrari is all around.

It’s really funny that someone in a POS FB (Yes, a FB IS a POS compared to a Modena) would think that they have somehow impressed or taught the owner of a super car some lesson. You’ve been watching too much F&F.

Yea, the Ferrari owner may have goosed the car a bit to get away from your dumb ***, but do you really think they were racing you?

And if they were, at the end of the day, when they roll back to their $1,000,000.00 house; where they keep two other truly impressive cars and a ‘beater’ Mercedes in the garage, I am pretty sure they don’t sit around and think, “GOD, I wish I could afford one of those RX7s! Especially one with no interior and a poorly sorted out suspension that may kill me one day; if the leaking exhaust doesn’t get me first.”

More than likely, if it did bother them, they might decide to spend some chump change (more than your entire car and home are worth) and make their pride and joy a little faster so that it won’t happen again.

I don’t have a car in that class, I have a sweet RX that I love, but you won’t see me driving down the road flashing my lights at someone else because of some kind of need to prove something to a stranger.

I get so tired of Hondas, Camaros, Mustangs and Eclipses chasing after me. No matter how fast they are, to me they are still a piece of **** and I wouldn’t be caught dead driving one. Besides, if I was impressed by them, I would probably be driving one.

I can’t say for sure, but I am pretty sure that is how most of the owners of Porsches, Modenas, 355s, Murcielagos, High End Corvettes, Ford GTs, and other complete supercars feel.

So to all you kiddies running around following too close, flashing your lights, revving your engines at any car that is out of your class, all you are doing is annoying them. I am sure they could care less about your tin can.

That's just being stereotypical. For the amount of money that they pay for a Ferrari, I could take an FB and make a way better overall performance car, both in a line and around corners, than most Ferraris. And not all FBs are POSs with no interior, exhaust leaks, and fart can mufflers. And building upon a lesser car is more fun because it is a learning experience, as with Ferraris there isn't much you can do and most people who own one could care less about leanring anything. they'd just pay someone to do it for them. I would take an FB RX-7 over a 360 Modena anyday because with the FB you have something to build upon and have fun with, to make your own. A Ferrari is you get what you get. No fun. Just my opinion

Oh shut up and stop trying to stick up for the 7. You know damn well, if your dad were to throw a Modena and an FB in your face, and told you to choose one, you know off the bat, you'd take the Modena. To Will Sonnet, yes, very well said.

Like it was said before wether you lose or not you still have a ferrari and its something your proud for... and you go out in your fb or ferrari you could rev your engine and wouldnt even get the attention expect for pissed of people bitchin you out...

Whatever man... Not sure how ghetto YOUR Rx7 is, but at least mine has a clean interior, quality suspension and nice (non-leaking) exhuast.

Of COURSE that's why the FB > Modena kill is so funny... It's a frikkin' FB. If you were a rich, affluent Ferrari owner who tried to show off a little and leave these "ricers" in the dust, you'd be a little peturbed when you got PULLED on by a much "lesser" vehicle... Hilarious I say. The FB can't lose in this race. If the Ferrari wins--great, he wins nothing. He beat an FB. If he loses, well, he feels like a slightly uncomfortable tool for getting smoked by an FB. Remember, the Ferrari DID hit it.

Your main argument is one against street-racing in general:

"...because of some kind of need to prove something to a stranger."

Well, this is the KILLS section, so get used to it. A 3-rotor FB pwning a Ferrari makes for a sweet 'kill' story IMO.
