FD vs. Kid in a 95 Mustang GT

So I am on my way home late one night when I was still living in Tulsa just minding my own business, driving the speed limit down the lonely highway and up an onramp comes a nice sounding stang. Those things are about a dime a dosen in Tulsa so I just continue on my way as if I am still the only car on the road. A few moments later this punk kid rolls his window down and starts gunning it next to me. I look over with a look that asks "are you serious?" and he just smiles and then his pretty little girlfriend leans up to catch a better glimpse at my car and his cool friend in the backseat is flipping me off for some unknown reason. He continues on at this long enough to get me irritated so I downshift only to 4th and signal for him to make the first move. He downshifts and punches it and I push on the gas and accelerate past. I push it only to about 100 and then shut it back down to the speed limit. He catches back up as I am slowing and continues being irritating with the reving... So now I decide to embarass him a bit infront of his little girl. I again signal for him to make the first move as I downshift to 3rd. He jumps and I let him pull a little. Next, the look on this kids face was priceless... I pull even, honk to get his attention, wave and accelerate past this time making sure he knew I stomped him by running it on up to 120-125ish and several car lengths before slowing back down to the speed limit and continueing on my way home. He does the little fly-by at 100+ but I just begin laughing again remembering the look on his face...

I love to do that! whats even better than that is being a a stop light and getting a civic driver or another time and gas waster and letting them think that your going to race them rev it up a little and when the light turns green just continue about as you never seen them they will be all serious and drop the clutch and take off for nothing its works everytime.

lol looks like someone forgot that 94-95 Mustang GTs aren't fast awesome kill. I love when they try to show off with their girlfriend in the car and get whupped. $100 says he blamed his girlfriend and friend in the back seat for the loss. added weight.

Yeah, I really like to do that as well. They get all hyped up, peel out through the intersection and I am sitting there laughing as I pull away...

I am sure he came up with some reason that he lost to a "rice burner". Some ppl still amaze me in not knowing what an RX-7 is.... Those years are still the 5.0 and can be pretty dang quick and his car sounded really good. I must admit the mustang has always had a great sound.

Anyways, it wasnt an impressive win by any means, but it was entertaining so I figured I would share...

flacid is right, the 95 cobra w/ the last of the 5.0s was a turd and a half.

But yes, v8 mustangs have always sounded awesome no matter which type v8.

Good kill, stupid kids and their domestics

Well, muscle is mostly what there is in the Tulsa area. I have yet to get a race with a srt4.

Mods are not really too impressive. Basically normal reliability stuff then greddy smic, powerFC, dp, N-1 catback, a new set of twin seq, pushing 12.5psi. dynod just under 300whp. Like I said nothing too impressive as far as FD's go. But this coming summer I will be upgrading to a street ported motor with a GT35R single and all suppourting mods. The car is stored now for the winter.
