Fd vs. C6 = after work special!

Always wanted to run one of these, but never had the opportunity. My commute to and from work consists of one onramp and one offramp with 10 miles of straight I5 inbetween.
Left work at the hottest part of the day, 3:00 p.m, temps up here in NorCal 100+ togay. The C6 is an easy one to spot due to the high running lights - get on the freeway at my tipical speed of 80, and notice a nice maroon one about 5 cars back. I continue on at 80, and after about 3 miles he finally catches up, I look for the tell-tale hood inlet to see if I'm gonna be fartin' in the wind, but no, standard vette - lets see what they will do.
Traffic clears and I speed up to 95, but he doesn't take the bait. Get stuck behind a semi, and he pulls to my bumper, turn off the air cond. tweek up the boost a couple notches - I think to about 11psi, and wait for the truck to clear.
I'm in 4th like a dumbass, truck moves over, and we both hit it from 65. He stays with me, and doesn't gain any ground until we get to about 85. Looks like he shifts, and I stay on the gas - slowly start pulling away. Had to shut down due to traffic, rev. buzzer was going off so I was around 125. At that time, looks like I gained about 1/2 to a car length on him. Offramp was coming up so I slowed down, he passed on the left without even looking over and had a pissed off look on his face. Liscense plate said something like FLYNVETT or something.
May have been worse for him if I would have started in the right gear, or who knows what had happened if we had stayed on it and I had to shift to 5th.
But, extremely happy with my 93 salvage title $15k(including performance parts) ride.
93 Tourning, m2 large ic, m2 intake, dp, hf cat, rb catback, power fc, @11psi boost and hot temps!

nice kill. You probably shut down at around 135~140 MPH. Wait a minute you can actually hear the buzzer? lol
