And why buy a car for just for cornering when you never go to the track?

When I'm done really going after a twisty road my hands are shaking. Going fast and then slamming the brakes to take the corner, tires screaming as your take the corner. Nothing like that feeling.
Also I love taking corners w/passengers and not slowing down at all for a corner. The looks and actions are priceless. A recent conversation during a corner: "theres a turn, THERES A TURN!!! SLOW THE **** DOWN!!(pointing w/fingers at this point, followed by their arms flailing for something to grab as we take the corner no problem) and me talking normally the whole time
. I don't want to start a flame war on this subject but, I get nothing from drag racing. It tests how well you can make the motor run consistently and that's about all.
My first trip to the strip was fun because I had never done it before. My second trip I took my other car and once I found the stuff I wanted to know, I felt like I was bowling after that without the beer. The most fun part was laughing at the shitty cars.
Track racing(ex. Laguna Seca) tests everything on, in and associated with the car. I'm a whole package kinda person, I would feel cheated(among many other things lol) if I bought a car that could only do a straight line well.
^ im more of a fan of cornering myself, wish somehow their could be common sport on it, but i would never do it 1v1 off the track, for not fear of my capabilities, just fear of how stupid the other guy might be.
