Death vs RSX type S
I finally got my 87 tii running this morning. My cuz wanted to race me since we've been talking **** back and forth. He has a rsx type s with k-pro (hondata), intake, and race headers. Im stock. We line up on the highway at 60 mph, 3 beeps and we both gun it. I keep up with him 3rd, but as soon as i shift to 4th he puts 3-4 cars on me. I shut it down around 115 mph.
Is this right? or should i have kept up better... what do you guys think?

Sounds about right, the motors are pretty restricted stock from what I remember. I've heard of them running low 14's with intake/exhaust mods, and you should be high 14's to low 15's stock. Get an intake/exhaust and some fuel mods and you'll beat him. If you want a little closer race, go from a stop up to 80-100. He'll still win but you'll take him off the line.

intake and exhaust on a type s will only put someone at mid to high 14's something like 14.5-14.8 with hondata i have seen them run 13.7's to 13.9's but also the type s is geared very high i have seen one that runs 14.502 race a mustang gt that ran 14.115 from a 40 roll to about 140 and the rsx won its all gearing
get intake and turbo back exhaust and you will be right with him
