bored on a freeway and beat by a civic

I was driving on the freeway this evening after work. I was in the #2 lane minding my own business when this kid in a Blue/Purple 99-00 Civic Si comes right up to my passenger side and slowly passes me. I paced him a little to find out what he would do. After a few seconds of pacing him. He looks over at me and I motion for a short race. He looks at my car and laughs, but nods okay. I downshift into third and he follows. We get to about 80 and then slow down. We slow down to the speed limit (65mph) and hit it again. We did this five times to guage my car against his. His car was faster, but not by much. Everytime I had a slight jump on him I would hold off for a win (not by much), while everytime he had the jump or we both started at the same time , he would win by about a car length or bumper.

Not bad for my bone stock daily driver 110-140 hp??? 2006 Civic LX. His car had an exhaust as far as I could tell.

I just wanted to see what my DD could do. I wouldn't even have bothered if I was driving the other car

Congrats on the post count.

I don't currently own a 7. My last one was a blue 87. I'm driving a civic for now. Gave the wifey the mustang (very poor fuel economy).
