on rt 30 on teh way to school saw an eclipse come up behind me to catch up. he saw me on the onramp. car looked like he put some good money into it. red, about a 95ish body style, whale tail gave away that it was turbo, rims, bodykit, exhaust and what sounded like a GReddy bov. very clean lookin, young guy about my age. traffic was light so i gave him time to catch up then dropped it into 4th. he probably didnt know it was turbo cuz there is no way to tell unless you see my fmic. i just got the car painted but i dont like the blue so it will be repainted soon. teh color attracts alot of attention so he prolly thought he'd mess with me. i ran 4th hard then grabed 5th and the hks bov sqeualed at him. he followed me onto rt 222. he really rode my *** until traffic cleared in front of me. nailed it again and so did he. pulled about 4-5 cars on it. looked pretty good (as in not rice) but wasnt too impressed w/ the speed. his exit came b4 we could have more fun. total 3 runs same result each time. this is for those who corrected me on what a real dsm is. lol, this time it def is a dsm.
my car: 1993 240sx
mods: sr20det blacktop, 3" turboback, intake, large fmic, hks ssqv bov,b&m short shifter, hallman boost controller @ 11 psi of boost. thats about it for go fast mods.

tooslow7, DSMs look like **** and have weak drive trains which are proned to breaking! I've known 6 people that I was close with who owned DSMs of all trim levels. And they all cost more than what they paid for the car in repairs.

That should be enough to get him set off...

hmmm, thats what i thought, you got a offended that i beat a dsm and your only challenging me cuz you know your cars faster. how much did it cost to get it there? if i spent as much as you did i would run you, but come to pa and run me anyways. even if you win you'll have wasted a lot of gas. personally i dont think its cool to throw out challenges for races that are 10 to 1 odds in your favor, but thats just me. bring a gun to a knife fights real cool.

dude i paid 1200 for my car and put about 1000 worth of parts into it or less. its put together with a bunch of parts that my friends didnt want. the ******* bumper is held on by zipties. its the ebay special of dsms and it would still smoke ur ***. period.it ran 12's spinning the tires all through first and second.

 

what do you run in the 1/4 bigcox. ill run anyone just for the thrill it doesnt matter if i win or lose. if i lose its cool because i like to see cars that rip ***.

 

i know it will smoke me, thats my point. ok so you got deals and handouts, so you didnt spend much, but it is fair to say it is more modified. its gay to challenge someone when you know ur cars more built. if you dont care if you lose and just race "for the thrill" then why are you throwing out a challenge to a car thats slower. you sound like your just pissed that i'm antidsm, and want to "show me what they can do". im not denying you can make them fast but they're still gay in my book

^ who me? teh kit was on the car. so far everything i've purchased has been fro performnace. hks ssqv, cat delete pipe, GReddy profec b spec 2, b&m short shifter, and some gauges. the only external mods are a set of 17s, bodykit (now coming off) and a vis cf hood.
