If it helps you out, ive raced one of these in my car and stomped the **** out of it but my car isnt stock ive got like 180-190 hp in my streetported 88 na rx7. My car blew his away, he kept up like once for about 5 seconds and then i pulled hard and was ahead by a bus length or more. So im willing to say stock vs stock it will be a close race but you will have more pull.

The added drivetrain to make the car awd is what adds significant weight to the car but it also gives the car better acceleration off the line, awd are great for drag cars but surely awd means it puts way more strain on the transmission and transmissions tend to blow out on these things left and right.

Interesting, I've never heard about the tranny issues on those, but it makes sense. I guess if you drag it too much and drop the clutch off the line, I could see a break in the drivetrain / rear end / tranny happening.
Edit: Wait, did I just say a break in the rear end? - Scratch that

Assuming the car is awd obviously it wont spin tires off the line, no one says it wouldnt be able to do it. You can spin tires on a high power awd car , and the whole theory behind the car having high acceleration is because it has so much traction and no tire spin off the line !
That being said , the combination getting so much traction off the line puts more stress on the transmission and drivetrain and will cause the transmission to break more easily along with axles etc.

On another note unless modded they poopy at around 55mph or soo it's the drivetrain loss you can feel it! now put injectors, first gen BOV,fuel pump and ecu and run 13's!
Am i beating the horse?
