This dude had been talkin about how his GST is all mighty and that he could beat the rx-7 anyday. So I came to shut him up. He originally wanted to race my buddy, but my buddy just got his engine rebuilt and is still going through the break-in process. So we got him to race catching him on the road and me being stupid and forgot to turn the boost to 10psi after I fixed the exhaust leak. we went from a roll at about 15-20mph and I had about half a car on him, and then the end of second had about a car, then end of third I had more than a car. midways through 4th he was catching up and got to my drivers door (stupid stock catback is restricting my power). A truck was coming up ahead so, I started to ease off. and he came up and he thought he won by a fender. I was like hell no and decided to get my game on. Alright so we come back to the same spot and we run again from a roll of 15-20 mph, he punches it first and I follow quickly and I shifted into second and got 1 car on him and keep pulling and shift into third, and he missed shift and I was ahead like 2 cars. We go back to my friends house, and he said he won by a fender the first round. I then said, ok, you think so, lets run for money. He says ok. I go to my MBC and turn it up a notch and I test drive it and I get 9.5 psi, and I can feel the difference in the pull and I said thats enough. So I come back, and I said lets go. He says, "Your motor is smoking". I said "Its just a small leak from the turbo oil line and is burning when it drips on the turbo. "He s then quick to say, just fix it man, dont **** up your ****", ignoring what I am saying that its a very small leak and looks kinda bad because it gets burnt. He says fix it and we can race tonight. I fix the leak and go back but he isnt home. I go home and turn the boost to hit 10 psi exactly on my boost gauge. I come back the next day and catch him slippin at his house. I said lets do this. He says pop your hood and let me check it out. I let him check it out, and rev it for him. and he quickly noticed my BOV is louder and he says "it didnt sound like that yesterday." I respond "I cranked up the boost 1-2 psi, and yesterday you were running me at stock boost so don't think that is all I got." He then says " well, you live here in fresno". I nod. He then asks "Well, when do you come down over by this neighborhood? How about we run next time? I ask him "why not just hop in your car right now which is next to you? Do you got something to fix?" He says "no, but we'll jus go at it next time. I was like whatever, he is obviously scarred. I told him before I left, that next time it will be on camera and we will go from a dig.

lol, you should've told him that he has to pay to see whats under the hood lol. a similar story happen to me last saturday, but the guy drop his clutch in front of me and i said lets do this. well lets just say his eclipse wasn't all that mighty, beat him like for 3 buslenghts lol. it was a gst also.

Either way, the guy doesn't want to race anymore. he is obviously scarred. I hope he does race me again, because I want to catch his facial expression on camera after he gets smoked.

lol, as soon as he said, "just fix it man." I knew it was going to go downhill from there. I know I got on vhalin for doing the thumbs down, but hat would've been a perfect time to do it.

I will be sure to let you guys know, and if it does happen, it is gonna be from a dig and its gonna be on video. I was a little dissapointed in the GST though. I thought it would be faster. I beat him on stock boost and with only 2.5" dp and straightpipe but I have stock catback exhaust. If I had 10 psi of boost like now and a FULL 3" exhaust, it would of been a been a slaughter. My engine isnt even the best of engines. I only have 95 psi , which is like a average, but if I had 115psi+ then it would be even worse for him. I was thinkin about rebuilding my engine, but we will see.
